There is if you can get a lot of kills and stay first on your team. First definition here is what I believe about campers. I don't camp myself, I prefer running around the maps taking people out, but I won't complain because someone is barely moving on a map and kills me.
There are several definitions for camper, that's only one of them. Another one which you left out is someone who stays in one spot and kills people they spot. The one you mentioned requires no skill at all and you said with that one you only hide behind a wall and wait for people (anyone can spray people around a corner, but that doesn't mean it's a "wrong" way of playing the game. There is no wrong way of playing as long as you attempt to kill the enemy). With mine I'm referring to people who are good at aiming and killing people, but decide to stay in one spot instead of running around the maps like many others. It does require skill because I'm sure people who they've killed know where they are by then, but they manage to survive.
Just because you play differently does not mean they are playing wrong and it's automatically wrong for them to play like that. That's like me complaining about people sniping me. Simply because I run around the map doesn't mean that whoever snipes, camps, or does anything else differently is wrong for doing so.
I always perfer sniping and when your being called a camper isnt that what snipers do in real life? We're not meant for close quarters combat. If you are carrying a machine gun sitting in a corner then your classified as a camper. Heres a tip...when you find a camper REMEMBER he/she will be there until they are killed...dont keep running by thinking they moved. But hey everyone gets yelled at for being a camper if they stand in one spot for more than .5 seconds.
*facepalm* It's people who stay in a secure position, and move only when they have to
Yes, they tend to get annoying at times, especially when i'm at my 23rd or 24th kill. But, if you're a sniper, it's only reasonable to camp. I quick-scope though, so I hardly ever camp, except for CTF or similar to that
