[Well, it appears my spamming of the Dreams RPG obviously made people not want to play. Oh well, I'll just keep it on the other site. However, here is another game I recently thought up.]
Background:
In the year 2043, a meteor impacted Antarctica. A team of scientists was sent to recover the meteor for further study. They retrieved it, and the meteor was taken back to the United States for further study. It was believed to be just a normal meteor, and was largely forgotten. However, one day, while it was being transported to another place for holding, something happened. Although exactly what occurred is unclear, what is known is that the truck suddenly veered off the road and into the lobby of a hotel. The man came out, clutching at his throat. He fell over and begin convulsing. And then... he changed. He turned into a mutated monster. He attacked others, changing them as well. This was the beginning of the outbreak.
5 years later, and 3/4 of the world's population is mutated. The only cure for the virus is death. The governments of the world are becoming desperate, so they launch Project Hope. Small groups of scientists from around the world begin working on changing the virus to mutate a person, but to keep them from becoming hostile. They test it out on human subjects, and largely succeed... or so they think. One week after the tests have begun, all of the subjects go mentally insane and are forced to be locked up. They all fall into comas. The test is considered a failure. The base where the test occurred is scheduled for destruction on September 16, 2048 at noon.
It is currently September 16, 2048 9:00 am. And the subjects, who have been largely forgotten, have just woken up...
So yeah, in this game, everyone is a 'good' mutant. Right now, our goal is to escape by any means necessary. Also, if you want to join in with the mindless mutants(the 'bad' ones), you can do so at a later time.
Here's the sign-up form:
Name: Age: MutationBasically, the virus mutates each person in a different way, so you can choose just about anything(just be realistic. No god-like powers.)
I hear some people struggling further along. I walk along and see a mutant with a scorpion tail kill another mutant before falling over. I rush up to him. "You ok?"
No response. I go and tell the others that I think he may have fallen into a coma, and if anyone knows how we can revive him. I hear the alarm again. "2 hours, 15 minutes until base destruction."
Name: Cullen Age: 22 Mutation: EXTREME abilities in the art of stealth. Also was has an fortunate mutation, he stays the same age (Body wise) for two years.
I don't think so... but you'll get a response from Fogfun.
I suddenly wake up. "OMG" i say.
"What happened" "I saw what is about to happen and how will they kill us. Maybe the mutant i killed had the extreme ability to predict future. His blood has been mixed with mine and i was able for 30 seconds to see what will happen in 2 hours and 15 minutes. All these years they have developed a drug that totally annihilates us. They are to fire this with nuclear bomb. Mixed with radiation, it may instead of destroying us destroy our minds and makes us even more infectious."
"But... we can't be in a city otherwise they wouldn't fire a nuclear bomb. Where are we?" you ask.
"maybe hes not long passet out. i carry him." i say and carry him in my arms. then i cut the wall with my thorns and make an exit. then i say to wilson: "i bring him away and protect him, go and free more imprisoned mutants."
[Doom, nothing personal, but could you please not control other characters from now on? Thanks!]
"But how did we become mutants? I mean what's going on? Last thing I remember, ... Well, to be quite honest, I can't remember anything from before I woke up."
[Remember, they wiped our minds. We have no idea as to what's going on.]
"Two hours? S***. Look, I saw a man earlier walk by my cell. Let's head the way he went."
I lead the others down the hallway and to the door the man went in. I try and open it, but it's been locked. I use my blade to open it. Inside, the man is sitting on the floor, gun in hand. He's holding the gun up to his temple. "He made me do it!" He shouts.
