Why get a regular ps3 when you can get an Xbox 360 for same cost and better gameing The xbox has easy acheivements and you fell better about your self with the Ps3 you have hackers viruses and many ways to ruin it. Tell me if its really worth it to buy Ps3
No, PS3 isn't 300 dollars anymore. Its the same price as the 360 now. An it would be better to get a PS3 in the long run. You can watch Blu-Ray DVDs, the graphics are better, the exclusives are so much more fun, and it wasn't built to break (like the 360 was)
what are you talking about thats the xbox. hacks are patched (usually) within the week and in all my years of having a ps3 i have NEVER gotted a virus and i dont even use protection (take that in both ways)

After wasting a part of my life reading through this thread I drew several conclusions:
1) There are more satisfied PS3 users than the whole of Xbox 360 users. 2) The two are the same, overpriced pieces of junk, with different worth layouts. 3) Xbox has far superior games. 4) PS3 has a better set for console/internet.
I also know from personal experiences, the Xbox does not get viruses. Your problems are probably to do with the hardware. Second, both systems have the same problems, no matter what anyone says. Unpredictable customer service, hackers, and a few other areas that may be individual.
My bottom line is: It really doesn't matter which one you get. You're going to have a trade off somewhere.
And my Xbox only recently started have problems, and it took an awful lot of dust. 2 years of flawlessness.
I vouch for the Xbox, but the PS3 is still a good system.
the reason why it is 300 and not 250 and 260 is because of the bluray and the fact that there is a free internet browser and psn is also free.

as you can see you are technically building a better system with a better deal. technically. now not saying the xobx isnt awesome i freaking love playint that thing.
Yes it is worth 300$ Ok first of all you have to pay for internet with xbox. Second, you have to buy a wireless connector unless you fell like running a cable from your router to your console Third, you cant buy straight up games and ad-ons you have to buy microsoft points Forth, it takes a long time to make accounts and fill in all this information Fifth, it is easier to play a playstation controller when you've been playing with them for years (Ps1 and Ps2 Sixth, it has blue-ray which are way better than DvDs Seventh PS3 is a relatively new system where xbox has been around for awhile and eventually old consoles go obsolete So i would recommend PS3
You save even MORE money, because you don't have to buy a Blu-ray player, which is worth like... $600! You get music, Internet, video, games, friends, and everything else... all for that original price..

Did you hear about the Government buying a crap-load of the things(1000's range), because they could just strip them down for the comp, which would cost around 3x the cost of a PS3?
I believe that makes them worth it.
It's nice to see the Govt. do something smart for a change anyways...
I think that the PS3 should lower it's price's because it has been out for over 2 years now and it is getting kind of old. The reason the price's are not going down is because people keep buying them. If people stop buying them, then the price's will drop down dramatically.
