I have been using Armor Games for almost two years now, and I'm pretty sure a new feature about related games (something like the related videos feature) or recommended-for-you games would be nice. Any ideas?
But I think it's in the game developer's own best interest to make good tags on the game in order for the gamers to find his/her game... so that shouldn't be a problem there! =)
Developers can often put misleading or inprecise tags (if I was suspicious I would say that some developers put lots of tags in a game in order to get more attention 0 ), plus the point of view of a developer can differ from that of a gamer. That's why I think the tag system is not sufficient for a demanding gamer.
So we'd have to make a function that allows users to tag a game... But that would probably be abused somehow... Darn...
Not necessarily. Older/higher-ranked members can be taken more seriously or be given more authority over tagging a game (I'm not sure this distinction can easily happen, though) in order to avoid that.
In addition, I think focusing on who can tag a game more accurately is not the only way to make the new feature. I'm not quite familiar with programming though, so you can correct me where I'm wrong.
Maybe the tagging should be left to the admins and mods then... simply to avoid all the problems stated!
Not to mention the 'ubering minds' (not trying to be unfriendly here, but it's a fact) that have the urge to have the '3-letter-word' mentioned to them everywhere...
This might be the first time ive seen a suggestion and the mods doesnt say "it will lagg more then" or something like that!
That's because Gantic stated that the tags are put with the games by the developers, so there's no lag for AG, or something similar I guess... heck, I don't know... o_0
Anyway, I just threw a naive, maybe, idea out there for experienced members to discuss. Whether it's going to happen, or how it's going to happen, is well out of my league :P
