Everyone dislikes World of Warcraft for being too addictive. Ironically, they've wasted the past year on Modern Warfare. >.>
Rofl! That just made my day mate
True, btw
WoW is only addicting in your head (as a nice little fellow pointed out) and I think I can't get addicted because if someone else happens I know it's more important. Going out, having fun and just chilling is personally better than WoW, because I like my own thinking time is better because it drags time instead of letting it fly by.
WoW is a good game, mostly because of the lore, but annoying children and rediculous misunderstandings isn't what Heroes of Azeroth are about.
Oh, and yeah, I'm 13, but I'm not commited and I only enjoy PvP (Kinda find it sad ppl work weeks and months to down about 100,000 0's and 1's
obviously much more)
I've recently (months ago) held off until Cataclysm comes out, if that doesn't work out, tough, I'm not playing it
Thing is people think it's sad because of the people who play it, for some reason it attracts nutty little kids who like trolling and such. And I hate couples who play on there, what a serious waste of time. They could be going out with other couples, dining, vacation even, instead they burn their eyes to dust.
But I'm not too sure how hard it is to pay for WoW, they get over (or about) £920,000,000, that isn't a hard calcualation:
£46 every six months (also the most efficient way)
X10,000,000
£460,000,000
X2 (6months + 6months = 1 year)
£920,000,000 a year.
That is excluding:
Non-efficient ways
1,000,000 (more) of the World of Warcraft players
Other currencies (which makes up for the missing million)
I just wanna know how much they put into upkeep and how much they put into creating new things. Because they're lacking behind for graphics (which kids are fussy about), gameplay tbh (alot of spells but most of the things are computerised, no button combinations or "
ersonal combat", where no1 fights between u and ur opponent, that'd own, basically God of War / Dante's Inferno). And really there is this:
New quests (kill a new skin of mob for 1.5X more exp than in the last expansion, and gain 500 HP when you level... woooowwwww.. -.-)
New Instances (Tank-and-spank, rinse, repeat, and again, again, again, ag-- wait, tactic, okay and again, and again, tactic, etc)
New Lore - the main fascinating thing to me (how they contructed it all must've been exceptionally hard, and I like it that there's no Mary Sue (perfect characters) in it)
New annoying kids (except the occasional awesome people, who I've only known one who's stuck with me (even off WoW, we use UDK) and my brother when he was playing, others drifted off when I quit before).
WoW would be awesome without annoying people, painfully repeating content and some of the addicts (doesn't take a while to see that real life > WoW life, because without real life, WoW life wouldn't be nor be upgraded!)
