World Of Warcraft can be addicting I played it for about a year then my Account got hacked, The community is great, though now that i think about it a bit nerdy, but there are a lot of account phishing sites trying to get your password, but there are authenticators now that give you a random number you need to log in every time, I'm not really familiar with it so i assume if you lose it you will be SOL, I tried playing recently with some friends I still found it fun with friends, but playing alone isn't all that great, leveling system is good, if you haven't leveled a bunch of characters, Overall its a pretty good game if you have the time and money for it.
it cost to ply because it costs to make. It cost them over $60 million just to make the original, anf millions more for expansions, customer service, servers and all their otehr stuff. They have invest hundreds of millions into it, but it was a good investment, they make over $100 million off of it every month
