One thing: Talk about Cast Away. Talk about how far you are or some strategies that have helped you out during the game or what pet you think is the best!
so far it seems that F Swamp mutant has the highest HP, but lacks special ablities and as far as i can tell it doesn't hit hard.
Scropions are strong hitters and all of them have special ablities.
As of right now from what i have come across it's a toss up between the frost scoprion and the ogre for best pet do to their special powers. both of them stop the enemy in their tracks but i think the ogres power triggers more often.
To be successful in this game, you have to get used to grinding. Just go into each area and kill things repeatedly until you finally get strong enough to go into the next room. It isn't hard, it just takes patience. And if you really just want to get to the generator, like other people have said have a castaway feather to get you back without dying. But also, at later parts in the game, shadow shards(which make you invisible) are AMAZING! Get a crappy pet you don't care about dying, run towards a bunch of enemies that could destroy you, use sneak, and run right past them into the next area. If you're lucky no enemies wander really close to the entrance, or if they do, just go back into the last area and then come back, do this until sneak is done cooling down, then repeat. I did this to get through basically all of magma crater.
I can now officially say, the best way to make your gaming experience much easier is to get a really weak pet that you don't really care about make it attack something really powerful and let it die. Then you have no pet, and you don't have to worry about pet dying anymore, hurray! Pets really don't do that much, unless it's one of those really powerful ones, in the beginning, it's really good to just go petless. This saves up a lot of pet food for your future good pets too.

I completely agree with you. I ended up doing half of my training and then going on to beat the game without a pet because all of mine kept dying.

Well I guess you're right about that. At Castaway Jungle, I brought my grass beetle and let it die. After that it became easier for me to train up and fight and all those shit.
i like having a pet..but ill jsut let it stay back and go kill a bunch of stuff and it gets exp too..so i get my pet really strong without risking its life...my pet is lvl 13 and has only fought a few toehr things..i only use him against powerful enimies
There is a sweet spot for pet training: the Mild Marshes. Where the monsters are mostly non aggressive as well as pretty high level. At other places, if you leave your pet behind it'll most likely get killed by some aggressive monster and you will not be able to get back fast enough to do much about it.
Sorry for double post, but I can't wait to express my anguish immediately. Ice shards don't sell for 2500 anymore! They are now 3 gold each like the other shards, nooooooooooo!
