This section is for products of YOUR creativity. Art, music, stories or poetry. If you want to showcase your works, or need critiques or feedback, this is the section for you.
General guidelines:
- All works must be your own.
- Discussions on musicians, authors and artists should go in the Popular Media Section.
- Please remember that the forum rules count here too. There are things like picture spam.
Art guidelines:
- Pictures should have the maximum width of 660 pixels. If the original is larger, please use a thumbnail and link to the large one.
- All references, brushes, renders, textures and generally everything you haven't made yourself, should have its source cited/credit the creator.
Writing guidelines:
- In case of a larger story, please post a link to it instead of posting it in the thread.
This goes for everything:
- Please remember to credit creators of characters you might use in your works.
- The works must follow the rules, and please keep it pg13. Explicit gore, death, sex scenes and swearing is not tolerated. If you must share it with the community, post a link instead, warning of the content, but generally keeping it clean is to be preferred.
- Critiques and feedback should be polite, and, if possible, offer suggestions on how the work could be bettered.
- The rules count here too. Please elaborate opinions to make them worth the space/read.
-Stolen works should be reported to a moderator. Do not comment on it, it is often less than worth it.
Thanks for making this Cenny. I've noticed some people posting work of other people not their own.
Threads that have 'You found on the internet' get on my nerves.
Places where we'd allow this would include linking it to a place that has a registration system so that declared minors cannot view it, for example DeviantART
What if they declare only 18+? I'm guessing it would be so confusing you simply say no.
Maybe I misunderstood teh point of this thread =/: also would cooking count as art?
The point of the thread is to show the rules of this forum, as well as act as a place to ask for tutorials (though I think I forgot to put that in). And only if it is artistic recipes should be put in the Tavern, awesomely decorated cake can be put here.
So wait we can't have people die? I'm pretty sure pg13 isn't that restrictive.
Blame my being lazy and not caring to add "explicit" to all the points in that line. But I will do it now: Explicit gore, explicit(violent) death, explicit sex scenes and explicit swearing is not tolerated. Better?
Ok. I thought that sounded off. Would of been extremely limiting and a shame, since death is a universal concern everyone in the world shares and really makes an impact on the reader.
sorry, but the AG doesnt let to link so you need to copy to the browser the url
It is generally a good idea to read the first post in the thread you are replying to, otherwise you might very well be considered a lot of things that might not be true, and that could hurt your feelings. So, 1. Go read the first post. 2. Find the place that explains how to post links and images, because you were not doing it right. It was not the website, it was you. 3. Go make a thread on your own. This is a thread on the rules (as the title says), not for showcasing your works.
Your what? Rule of thumb: You did it yourself, or as a contest/collection thread for self made art from other users: AMW You did not do it yourself: Somewhere else.
It is an artist, musician, about music, books, TVshows, youtube video or anything else involving different media and entertainment: Popular media. It is a fanclub: Not on this site. Anything that does not fit elsewhere: The Tavern.
