IF YOU ARE NOT INTO COMPLEX RP'S PLEASE FIND ANOTHER RPG, THANK YOU ^_^ Also, I know its a long introduction, but please just read it all, thank you.

Mmmkay, so, this is my first RPG, but its more of a Text sim, which I haven't seen yet on Armorgames forums yet! So... heres my first shot.

All right, so first you choose your businesses.1 person each business, except for the factories and farms, factories can have a max of 4, farms can have up to 3 people, sorry! These will all start out as a basic business, not a high up, nice, luxury powerhouse. I will explain this later. You can also buy another business of any category that could help your other businesses in any way, or just another way to keep up with expenses of businesses, with another business in need.

Expenses

you have to pay expenses (employee wages, Business bills, random acts I will post for your businesses, Promotions, Etc.) In order for your Business to suceed, or to become a major flop.

Employee Management

You also will have to train your employees by what your business's standards are. I mean, you want good quality products for the citizens right? I will also be giving a small resume for when 'eople' Apply for your business. If you like what I give you, then accept. If not, then you will be one person shorter, and will have to put up with more work. Another thing about employees: If you do have employees that seem to have a bad rep, they may react in how I describe their personalites, and it may not help your business out well. It also could skyrocket income, publicity, or productivity of your business too. So choose wisely! Also, the resume will include their schooling (Ex. High School Diploma, College Diploma: 1 year, 2 year, 3 etc.) So whatever your business needs for handling, its all up to you.

Attitude towards NPC's/Interaction

Your actions with people that you socialize with in-game (Mainly NPC customers, contractors, or suppliers) will have an effect by what happens also.

Your equipment in your business will also differ. Low cost appliances and objects will mean it will always need maitenance, or may not even function properly. High costing equipment will run smoothly and raise productivity highly.

Expanding of your business

Your business starts out as a small 'Hole in the wall' As many people call it. Its up to you to clean it up at the start to be able to even run it and have it functioning. Later on, you can purchase a construction crew, or if you have enough employees, to help you renovate the area to where the Amount of equipment you can have in your work space can increase, give you a working quarters (because you need some private space to manage your ever so great business... right?). But don't expect to gain income while you are renovating, because people are surely not going to come to sit down and eat, or work at your business with the pretty much dangerous setting, So you may want to have quite a bit saved up for that too.

Businesses
------------------------------------------------------------
1. Bakeries $50,000 for purchase, start off with bread as basic recipe, and one baker, (you) $30,000 loan to pay off in 1 game year, and a basic oven. No decorations or foliage.

2. Restauraunt $100,000 to purchase, Price varies on building one. (Choose either: Asian: Starts off with Chicken with fried rice as main course, Broth soup and salad as appetizer, hot tea and soft drinks for drinks, 1 employee (you), $30,000 Loan to pay off in 1 Game year, Seating for 25 people, and a basic Hibachi Grill. No decorations or foliage.

Steakhouse $100,000 to purchase: Steak as main course, Yeast rolls or salad for appetizer, soft drinks for beverages, 1 Employee (you), $30,000 loan to pay off in one game year, Seating for 30 people, and a basic grill. No decorations or foliage.

Seafood only$100,000 to purchase: Choose any type of large fish, too many to post in one post, as your main course, A skewer of 5 grilled shrimp and bread as your appetizer, soft drinks for beverages, 1 employee (you), a basic grill, and a $30,000 loan to pay off in 1 game year, No decorations or foliage.

3. Pizza Parlor $75,000 to purchase Basic cheese pizza as main course, no dessert, Soft drinks as beverage, Basic grill, A basic pizza heater (to preserve the pizza until the customer gets there), No decor or foliage, 1 Employee (you), and a $30,000 Loan to pay off in 1 game year.

4. Factory/Plant $450,000 to purchase

A. Food Processing Plant:

This is where the farmers send their slaughtered livestock, vegetables, fruit, and other edible products. Their job is to sterilize the food to make it edible and up to standards, package the food, and ship it off to the restauraunts, bakeries, and the prison, to make great meals that the citizens can enjoy.

Begins with 8 Employees (including you), 1 slow conveyor belt, 1 packaging machine, 1 truck, and 1 sterilizer, and one storage room, capable to hold 1000 units of packaging. There is a $350,000 Loan that is due in 2 1/2 game years.

B. Metal construction factory, $450,000 to purchase

This Factory is the most dangerous, but can be the most important at times in construction, supplying everyone with metal beams, nails, screws, and other shiny objects! This business creates its own products, unlike the food processing plant, but you will need to purchase some type of minerals from someone... won't you?

You start off with 9 employees (including you), 5 sets of welding equipment, 1 slow conveyor belt, 10,000 units of steel, and two storerooms (one for finished products, the other for raw minerals) Product Storage: 1000 units, Raw material storage: 50,000 units.

5. Farms $10,000 to purchase

These are well... the base of civilization. They create food: Vegetables, Fruit, Animals, and Wheat can all become grown here, and sold off to the other business for profit.

You start off with 1 Employee (you), 200 acres of land, 3 small stables to keep your animals in securely, a hoe (the tool), a shovel, a rake,50 seed packets of tomatoes, 25 packets of corn, 20 packets of corn,10 packets of squash, and your house. You have a $3,00 loan for animals that needs to be paid off in 1 game year.

6. a Prison Only 1 prison in game

It may not seem like a business, but being the warden of a prison is a massive job to take responsibilty of. You must control the whole prison with an iron fist, or the government will put you in one of your own jail cells themselves. So... no worries?

You start off with 50 employees (you, 29 guards, 10 accountants, 5 cafeteria workers, 5 rehabilitation profesionalls),70 Basic single bed jail cells, 10 low-security prisoners (the higher risk, the more paid on release.), No recreation centers, 5 rehabilitation facilities, 1 small visitation room seating 10 prisoners, 29 sets of riot equipment, 49 staff quarters with only a bed.

Actually, I calculated, and you only made 9,760 Nails. But still, it can pay off!

You load the endless amount of packaging onto your little pickup truck, which you own yourself. You then call around a few hardware stores in the city. Here are the prices given for nails at the stores. These are the couple that strike your interest:

Dynamo's Dynamic Hardware

Nail Stock: 2,500/15,000 ($45 = 30 nails)
Steel Beam stock: 150/1,000 ($750 = 1 Beam)
Steel plating: 12/1,000 ($3,500 = 1 plate)

Strickland Hardware and Hardware Accesories

Nail Stock: 1,200/15,000 ($120 = 5 nails)
Steel Beam stock: 874/1,000 ($250 = 1 Beam)
Steel plating: 120/1,000 ($2,700 = 1 plate)

You approach the manager and smile at her, "Hey there Janice, Hows your life in this... surface hell?" She then gives a small giggle, "Well, what can I say Marcus? I mean I do live in a prison for crying out loud!" She says humorously. "Well, I just got a letter from The government.. it said I should 'improve' your cooking skills, even though I think its perfect already. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with prisoner conditions though." You obviously say this lying through your teeth, but it lightens up the manager's thought of you. "Hmm... those devil spawns, fine. I guess if you could, we could need another hand around here, be easier to serve my masterpieces! Also, could you order in some better cookbooks? These... these things are pretty old." You then smile and agree with her, thinking she read your mind.
You slide out your cell, and call in your supplier. After talking for a couple minutes, you slide your phone back closed. "All right, I Just ordered around 30 cookbooks, stocked full of new recipes. These should only be given to the 'good' prisoners... if you know what I mean. I'll look into hiring another helping hand also. Have a great day, if thats possible in here." (-$500 from purchases)

You then head back up through the secured corridors of the prison, and go into your warden's quarters. Whats your next plan of action?

Seeing you dont have any money to spare, what should you start out with doing?

A) Making pizzas for any upcoming customers. (1 cheese pizza requires the following: 1 package of dough, 1/3 block of cheese.)

B) See towards hiring some more employees

C)Clean up the place a little, make it more appealing to your customers.

(Remember, your employees are also in here without leaving, so they will also need some place to have fun too. Preferably away from the prisoners?)

You walk over into the guard quarters, where around 3 officers are sitting quietly, monitoring the camera's screens.

"Hey there boys, how are things going?"

"Well sir, I think we've been examining some gang activity forming inside the prison," One cautiously says.

"Really.. how so?" you reply with haste.

"Well, we've been seeing them all shacking up into groups. But it may just be preferred races or something."

Should you examine further into this topic? Or continue on with your questioning on their opinion of improvements?

you sprint over to your office, and grasp onto your Desert eagle, sliding it into a holster on your waist. you then grab onto a combat knife, placing it in your pocket.. sheathed of course.

You walk out into the courtyard of the prison, and sure enough, the three guards were right.

You see around 4 prisoners with Gorilla tatoos on their chest, possibly new, sitting on table to your left.

to the right of the courtyard, you see 3 Buff prisoners with a shield tatooed on their chest, and have a tatooed sword running down each of their arms.

directly in front of you, at the basketball court, you see the other 3 prisoners with basic prison fatigues, unlike the other two groups, who are shirtless.

What should you do about this?

Ah that's not good.
Inform the government and the security teams that the gangs are indeed present. Buy better equipment for the security.
Priorities.
1: Identify and control members of all gangs.
2: Move all of them to maximum security and isolation, no recreation, all crappy food.
3: Do not allow any inmates to be killed.
I'll ask the security teams what they think of the plan.

(Right now you don't have any Maximum security Cells, only basic, Low-Risk, Cells with a bed. You should look into that :3 )

You call into your walkie talkie, and the prison immediately goes on lockdown. 8 guards shoot in from the courtyard entrance, dressed in full riot gear. they push the prisoners into their cells, after making sure they don't have any contraband in them. The guards indicate contraband is on an all clear, so thats a good thing to know.

You look at the guards as the exit the cell room,

"Do you think this plan will somehow seperate the gangs?"

They simply shrug their shoulders,

"I really don't know sir. I think they are resorting to violence. They should be acting better once the recreation gets built. I've been overhearing conversations saying they wanted a weightroom in the recreation center... and a chapel."

Now that you have a bit of info on how to resolve this.. what to do now?

Hm, I'll thank them for their input.
Ask the construction crews if they can put a few weight sets in the rec center and start building a chapel. In the meantime, keep the prisoners on full watch.
I'll deal with the max security later.

"Well Mr. Lansing, maybe we could have maximum security prisons for the prisoners who are a bit more dangerous. It would make our jobs easier. And for us, maybe we could have some better equipment. I've also heard that the rehab workers could use some extra help, maybe a volunteer program or something?"

Is that good?

(OH MY GOD -__- Just got logged out Mysteriously in the middle of posting. fml.)

You smile and then run back into your office, zooming onto the computer. You then go to the government owned prison supplier, who you know the owner very well from High School, so he'll give you a discount.

You order a brand new set of Kevlar Bullet-Proof vests for all of your guards, and should start shipping to your prison by tommorow.

You monitor in your defense contractor, and ask him if we're flexible to divide a few rooms into maximum security cells.

He reluctantly agrees with you, and takes out $12,000 from the prison funds and invests in the needed equipment.

Once it's finished shortly after, you assign a guard to stay in the vacant monitoring room inside the Max security quarters.

You then head to the prison's website, and post a new tab:

Rehabilitation Volunteers needed: [Apply now!]

You also fill in that cafeteria workers are needed as full time staff members in the staff tab.
