Always been a fan of wolverine all those early mornings watching marvel cartoons, lucky for me my uncle read comics and when he would come to see us he would give us bags of comics, thats the only reason I read comics today.
On a more meaningful note, Wolverine has been a favorite for awhile. I don't know if we would also consider Blade a superhero, but he's up there with my favorite fictional characters.
Batman is clearly the best superhero. Anyone who is that ****** without superpowers gets my vote. Also call me a sucker, but I love the whole anti hero thing. Superman is great, but he's just too much of a goody two shoes for my liking.
You can be a billionaire without being a playboy. Outside of the suit, Wayne is the wise custodian of Gotham City, rather than a playboy like Stark.
you really think he is he first comic hero with a revenge quest?
Normally this is a motivator for villains not heroes, which is why I like it when it's used effectively for good guys. Batman's general persona is derivative from his dark past, and it's what makes the character
Interesting. I personally always found it cool that Green Lantern was actually not unique, but a member of a universe-wide police force. Made him, I dunno, less elitist I guess.
I never really liked the Green Lantern that much to be honest. I have a general dislike for any superhero that's from outerspace. That smacks of 'I've run out of ideas for a good character backstory' wrting to me. The origins of a superhero are so very important, that to give yourself complete creative license seems like cheating to me.
but the parallels remain numerous between these characters.
The main difference is that Iron Man is just Tony Stark in a high powered suit. Batman doesn't rely on his equipment. He doesn't even rely on his agility and fighting skills. He, more so than any other superhero uses his brain to defeat his opponents, because of his lack of powers. It's always easy to track someone down and batter them if you can fly and fire energy balls from your fingers. Batmat doesn't have that option, and that's what makes the comics compelling. The thrill of the chase. I especially love it when he comes up against the Riddler. Definitely one of my favourite villains.
