Things out of the Doom games too. I was scared of that game for a while. Fun though.
The scary thing about Doom I think is more the atmosphere than the monsters; you just fear that behind every corner something is waiting for you and the game shocks you quite often(at least Doom 3).

Exactly. Though I don't remember which one I played. It was either number 1 or 3. I remember on one level though it was really dark and you had a weak lighted flashlight. It was scary because I didn't expect anything out of the game. I didn't know when something would just pop out of the darkness and try to kill me.
I will have to replay the game since my memory is foggy.
I haven't played any of the RE games so i can't say anything about them. I rekon the Gears of War series bosses and enemies we're pretty freaky especially if you played the game at night, alone.
