I used to play RS but not when they started putting out stupid updates to help all the noobs(like tasks and such)
Tasks is the best way to make money, but it makes the game way too easy. After all, right when I logged in I already completed about 25 tasks, giving me like 25k(1k a task) iin 5 minutes, I got about 10k. if your a noob, go with tasks.

um hvnt played in a while but yews and oaks but preferably yews are the best for gettin money

I buy iron and coal from GE and go to falador (or edgeville if the varrock armour is equipped) and make steel bars. they sell really fast and make a tidy profit.

dont waste your time getting alchemy its not worth it..i spent about 3 weeks getting it and in order to use it u need alot of money(i mean to use it to its full potential)

A fairly solid way of making money, that worked even back in the 04-05 era, is killing dragons for money.

Green is recommened (you are after the bones, not the hide), and the best places are the Wilderness. You can easily make 300-400k/h here at 100+ combat.

but what if your not insanely high combat level

Green dragons are only level 72 or so, and they can be easily ranged if you feel your defence is not high enough.

Furthermore, any food you may need should be covered by the 5k a drop you get in the bones.

yeh, but once you reach level 50/60 you figure the only way to level from there is mindless grinding so i haven't leveled much since 61

tasks are better for noobs though.....

I think that the new tutorial quest thing is so much harder cos my younger brother tryed it and I almost had to do all of it for him. Even though tutorial island was bad it is better than the new one. Because the island tells you how to fish and mine and stuff like that.

Tutorial island can't be accecesed anymore.... Which sucks.
