I would have kept the chimes.

I wanted to but when the DM tells you to do something you do it.

I would've just moved the DexGloves down to +2, you can always upgrade them later. The loss to accuracy is replaced by the +1 enchantment anyway.

But lowering my Dex would also lower my AC.

Yeah you do, but some good feats require you to have a certain amount of a type of feat, in this case metamagic feats.
And Hyper I got to agree with you, the Gloves I would say be the last to be lowered. And yeah but the chimes are more useful then an enchantment to your bow.

Simple, you take the amount of starting gold the GM gave us for our current level, and do nothing to it.
