Actually, I'm not certain Glorion is a paladin. It seems like he's more of a fighter, I've never seen him do anything paladin-like and he doesn't seem smart enough to cast any spells. His Charisma's not that high either, for a paladin.
Well, that would explain the senseless beatings, but paladin just feels right with him.
