My mom hates Dead Space 2. I found it really funny because her reactions were like the moms in the commercials. Anyone else got a mom that hates Dead Space 2?
I heard about dead space 2, got interested, and got Dead space 1. That was ****ing scary. I had to pause the game at some points where I was just like "NO"!
My mom doesnt really hate any games i play. she was actually watching me play God of War 3 yesterday and said it was "interesting". zomg.
Amnesia isn't scary at all, I was more scared in dead space 2 and fear 2 then I was with Amnesia, I don't get what people see in that game
First of all it's an indie game that was reared up in a kind and loving environment. Secondly dead space 2 is meh "scary" a few things pop up and there are some scary beings. But that wears off eventually, also guess what? You can defend yourself and everyone knows how fear psychology works, fight or flight. If your going to fight adrenaline kicks in and you stop being afraid. On the other-hand in Amnesia the environment is scary the monsters are slowly introduced so the effect doesn't wear off and your completely defenseless. So your only defense is "flight", which is much scarier than fighting a monster.

Scariest game I've ever seen or played. Most people don't even finish it because they are scared. They procrastinate from playing because of the fear it invokes.
i rented amnesia, found it boring. i just let myself died, so paths were easier. meh, when you can defend yourself then its much more exiting, or actiony ( new word?)
For what I see, Dead Space 2 isn't that scary. I thought it could be better. Only a bunch of things show up and you kill them. But if I had this game (I played it on a friend's house), my mom wouldn't let me play. A couple of years ago she didn't let me play Grand Theft Auto.

Great attitude about games. I hate it when people wont play a game cause they're scared of it. if you cant handle dead space, dont waste your money buying it. To this day I haven't bought a single game without first watching a trailer or a Let's PLay.
