My mom hates Dead Space 2. I found it really funny because her reactions were like the moms in the commercials. Anyone else got a mom that hates Dead Space 2?
I guess one reason is basically because scary video games and movies are a way to get those adrenaline rushes without actually having to endanger yourself while doing it.
And another reason, at least IMO, is because those scary games tend to really get your attention while you play it. They're a lot more captivating than any other game, and you just get really, really focused.
my mom dislikes it when i play nazi zombies and Dempsey or Nikolai swears. she tells me to turn them off and i say i can't so i have to lower the volume until i can barely hear it. sad fish
Why are you trying to annoy your mother? That can only end badly, right? Anyway, the key to Horror is Psychology. Some of the key strengths of Amnesia are: 1. A scary dark. bad things happen there, and you are reminded of it in a menu. You pass out if you stay there too long, but it's your only solace from the monsters. 2. You don't see the monsters very often. And thus you fear them more becuase you know so little about them. 3. A chilling plotline of human sacrifice.
D, yu forgot the most important factor in Amnesia, you are completely defenseless and are left with a helplessness feeling. and if you think amnesia isnt scary as deadspace, play it. by the first hour, you'll be crying
