oh i wrote one in the 6th grade that was 97 pages but my teacher failed me because apparently there was a 20 page limit. sadly i wrote it by hand and i've never gotten around to typing it up. and every time i try to type a story it just never works out. you know what i mean? it's actually quite depressing that i never really get to share my work with the world. only my teachers =(

4 pages typed out... I never had a hunch to want to write at all... just read :]... man... i havent really read anything for a while now, just Romeo and Juliet, WHICH IS REALLY HARD. My story was about a person, I won't tell the rest because I never intended to.

Beta, if written on paper, would have probably taken up about 40 pages:

Other than that, I'm preparing yet another story, first on Word, then on AG. I've reached about half a meg of characters so far.

I have only written a couple pages for English classes. I mean i wrote about 5 pages of info on my situation at the time to my therapist haha, not really a story or something you would want to read.

A novel I was working on got up to 255 A4 pages (about 110000 words) before I decided to revise it. That was a few months of a lot of fun willy-nilly writing, but now I'm taking it slow and steady.

The Way of Moderation, in this subsection of the forum, has been going for two years, is still running and is a combination of writing, comic, and animation. It has over 300 pages of comic plus about 140000 words worth of story (and growing!) Check the stickied archive if you want to see for yourself how long it is, but I intend to compress it into another more compact project later on.

(make that .2 megs on my last post. The numbers are so close together that I get confused.)

255 A4 pages? Is the A4 part "give or take" 4 pages or something? I haven't seen that before.

Longest story I've written was a random story a while back. It went about 15 pages of word before I deleted it.

I've been planning to write another story that could last significantly longer if I don't give up on it.

A previous NaNoWriMo that I kept writing on after November ended - I didn't make it to 50k DX - got to be 72 book pages, which is about 18000 words.

A4 is like the normal notebook size.

It looks something like that.

The longest story I've ever wrote was 22000 words, I'm not sure how much pages that would be though.

A4 paper is default printing size paper for documents (unless you happen to use letter style formatted paper, which is slightly longer). Its dimensions are 210x297mm. The A sizing system is really easy to use because each number up is exactly half the size.

Anyway, in a 12 point font with normal margins you can fit 350-450 words on an A4 page, hence the approximation. When my teachers made us write essays to page limit (as opposed to word limit), our instinct was to make the font as small as possible and the margins as narrow as possible without actually incurring the wrath of our teachers. I got it wrong once and scored the comment: "What is this, 8 point? I'm sending you the bill for my next set of spectacles!"

I remember Asherlee once said, way back in March of 2008, that I could easily write a novel on this forum and she'd expect to see one, so, well, there you go.

I'm going to actually spruce it up and try to make it something viable. We've got a ton of material, but there's some fundamental conundrums with the plot and characters... it'll be a while before we can come up with anything solid.
