i was talking to this kid the other day and when the P.E. coach told us to run, he muttered "Running for me is the x button." Now THAT is just plain unhealthy.
clearly you dont cuz you dont know how to spell it
You play video games all day long and just eat food without exercising you're bound to gain weight which will eventually end up making you obese which will cause health problems in your life. Simple.
i play 8 hours a day on week days then i play like wat 14 or more on weekends im actually the skinniest kid in my class and im the second smartest ive been on the honor roll all years i was able to so yeah video games do make me less awesome (its impossible to do that i know but thats wat they are saying)

wat game is he playing mines the r3 button not the x god
I think it's fine that kids play video games, as myself I do. I mean if don't have a TV and gaming system in their room and have all the blinds closed it's fine. I mean if you have nothing else to do, go ahead and play for 5+ hours (I do this). If you good outside once in a while it won't hurt ya.
Also video games help hand-eye coordination as you look at the screen and don't look at the controller. Also games can teach a lot. In Pokemon game you have to learn what moves are effective against others, and numbers are an important factor in the game also.
So if you think about games aren't that bad and kids should be allowed to play them, but not every second they can.
Yeah, it's great down time. But if you do like four hours a day, then the time could easily be spent talking to friends or something, which is more beneficial than achievements (GASP!).
How is talking to friends a good use of your time?
At least it's a learning experience, where in games you're just playing the same game over and over shooting zombies or something. And going outside is pretty important too.
There are thousands of videogames that can teach all sorts of things, you're a fool if you think screwing around with your friends is a "learning experience" whereas playing videogames is not.
you know, video games aren't all violent ones that will "scar kids and their minds" just take a look at games like portal. you will probably learn some problem solving in that game. and think about all those strategy games that can help you understand how to plan. SO, not all video games are bad, but violent games with very young children probably won't turn out good either.
Outside there is nothing to do, and you learn something from games, even from CoD. You learn something about the WW2, like used weapons, from what Country the were.

Age of Empires is also an incredibly great historical source. It has a library and campaigns based on it and I learnt A LOT.
Starcraft II taught me to manage my resources and not to think TOO economically mind. I <3 both strategy games and I love the hell out of the two of them for their different perks. Shooting games? It's mindless killing as far as I'm concerned, the only ones I like are Battlefield and Crysis 2 because of their uniqueness and possibilities of tactics and strategies
