Well my xbox had at least a year and the disc tray broke, what about yours?

My first Xbox lasted a year. I did everything to make it last longer, got an extra fan, put it in a nice place, cleaned the area often & I didn't even play it a lot, yet it still broke.

I've only owned one myself; I might get one of the new ones soon enough.

I guess I might be lucky or something, but I've had my first and only Xbox for two years now. I've never had any problems with it, except when my brother knocked over the Xbox while I was playing Black Ops and it got scratched beyond repair, so I had to get a new one.

Other than that, it's basically good as new.

Why am I the only one who's had his Xbox for four years?

I've only ever gotten one RRoD. It was a false positive, unfortunately.

You don't know others life-styles so you cannot imply that we don't do the same, or if we don't play sports, etc. .

A friend of mine from school said that he has had six Xbox's.
I really don't see a point in purchasing them if they break constantly. You're better off just getting a PS3 or Wii.

It overheats a lot but I got this fan thing so it never does anymore... I can play for hours and hours with no breaks.

The new X-Box doesn't have this problem though and it's a lot quieter.

One time I left my xbox on over night and it over-heated, but the next day I fixed it. Sometimes it freezes and I have to turn it off and on, but my baby's been running smooth for the last two years.

Yeah! Xbox Pride!

Also, what i meant by:

except when my brother knocked over the Xbox while I was playing Black Ops and it got scratched beyond repair, so I had to get a new one.

I meant the Black Ops disc, not the Xbox.

I got the Kinect/ 4 gb set for last Christmas and I probably play it a couple hours a week and it's been fine for me.

my xbox a few years ago got the red rings of death sent it to microsoft and when i got the xbox 360 back it had a note saying something about not being able to fix it so i got a brand new xbox 360 and i still got it but i might put it away in the closet later on so when i get a job imma buy me the newer model and put up the older one

If your Xbox does break then you should do what this guy did.
