So the question is really, have u ever heard a game is coming out and it had all of this hype and everyone was saying how great it was going to be, then u buy it and think that it was overly anticipated? Mine is call of duty black ops. I was hearing all of this stuff like "Zombies is going to be the ebst thing in CoD history.." "It's going to be the best first person shooter to date..." and all of this other stuff. So initially i was excited to get it for my birthday, but after playing it for about 15 i thought that all of the hype that it got turned out to be false. I didnt rally like the game all that much. Has this ever happend to you?
For the most experienced gamers out there; has anyone been disappointed by Chrono Cross?
Yes.
'Metroid Fusion' *****SPOILER ALERT***** The game completely redesigns Samus in this game. I did enjoy being hunted by the SA-X. The game was far too difficult, even for a Metroid game. I died 50+ times on two seperate bosses (one of which reappeared in 'Other M'. I went through a whole lot of trouble to beat it to only fight ONE metroid. The fruits of my labor? The fusion suit in METROID PRIME!
*****END SPOILERS*****
'Other M:' I do not recomend this game. I hope that this game is ignored in the series, like everything after 'Sonic and Knuckles' when they made 'Sonic Adventure.'
[quote]Call of Duty World at War for Wii fails. It's so much worse then the XBOX version. Has worse graphics, worse multiplayer levels and challenges. and doesn't have zombies[quote]
Btw i have cod world at war for xbox 360 nd it has zombies (voted best zombies incod series) and btw multiplayer sucks nd zombies is best.
Game ever failed to meet my expectations? I don't make expectations for games I don't know well enough, generally good games impress me more than enough.
Bad games? Well yeah, kind of disappointed. Apart from Call of Duty which I'll spare you the torture of hearing me whine about it, I haven't really been disappointed.
secondly halo reach, dont get me wrong the gameplay and multiplayer were good, but the campaign was such a let down. the trailers painted a picture of large firefights and battles and it was all so small scale, the idea for a fight scene was all too often just a few high ranking elites- rather than a larger scale fight with more lower ranks etc. halo 3s campaign blew it out of the water ( i mean fighting two scarabs at once ) although the space scene was cool
Fable 3- The creator promised it would be much better than Fable 2, and it was a mediocre game, really sad
Dragon Age 2- The creators promised a more action oriented game. Turned out to be a game where you ran back and forth delivering s*it.
Call of Duty MW2- The campaign was a terrible mess of random explosions and death, multiplayer was a glitchfest.
Call of Duty Black Ops- The campaign was a terrible mess of conspiracy theories and...explosions. Creators tried to balance multiplayer but ended up making the FAMAS overpowered. Also, they nerfed both the sniper rifles and the shotguns to the points of uselessness. Plus, the stats are so stupid it's...stupid. Apparently, four assault rifles have near identical stats, yet that is completely untrue.
Yeah Socom 4 and Black Ops. With Socom 4 the storyline was extremely boring and very short I got past the game in about three hours and with Black Ops the DLC's are way overprised on the PS3. I mean $15 bucks seriously? Also the problem everyone who played Modern Warfare 2 on the night they released Black Ops; They shut down the freakin Servers for MW2 thats why I was kinda glad they got hacked and gave away 2 free games to every user when they Playstation Network got back online
Halo 2 and 3. They are not "terrible" games, but there is seriously barely any change from halo 1. Plus, the campaign isn't as good as the first one. Overall, it's a disappointment.
I heard so many good thing about Fracture when I bought it the campaign was to short the plot of the game was crap and when I went online only 100 were online.
Black Ops and pretty much every movie game I've ever played. Because after I came to realize it wasn't gonna get any better, I smartened up and quit buying them. They're always terrible.
But I'm hearing good things about the iron man games. But the truth is, comic book fans were the majority who went to see that movie, not little kids, and comic book fans can't be tricked into buying a terrible game because it has Iron Man in it.
Reviews are always somebody else's opinion, so I also try to never go into a game with expectations. If a game looks/sounds cool, to me, I'll try it, but I almost never buy a game new (and usually have some trade involved with the purchase) so the financial part of the disappointment doesn't hit me.
Clearly you are playing it wrong. BRINK is not fun at all when you try to CoD rush all around the map spraying gunfire. If you play with your team, and use your class correctly, it is an amazing game. Sadly, too many a-holes like yourself ruin it by thinking it's some crappy Call of Duty/Halo replica.
