I personaly always liked the fact that you can pretty much do anything in a video game and be anywhere, I don't really care much for music in videogames and if it's not crucial to the game I will usualy turn it off. Graphics are always nice but really if everything was just wireframe blocks I really wouldn't care. A plot is always nice but games like Serious Sam could make up for having no plot by making it just one big shooting arena and fun game with not much reality mixed into it. I always like games that give you freedom and hate games that just put you almost on rails and all you can do is just go foward, but arcade games like House of Dead make up for that bacause it is one the only games that can get really intence in a arcade.

I totally agree with you on that, open world games are the best. To me the most important thing is the actual gameplay. A good story, nice graphics and quality sound effects and music can really enhance a game's atmosphere but they are worth nothing if the gameplay is terrible. I also like games that take a long time to complete. I hate it how a lot of games these days have campaigns that are just a few hours long.
First-person shooters are only as good as there story-line.
You sure about that? I have always loved the serious sam games and I seriously hated BFE because it added too much plot. Serious sam really is just about hordes and hordes of things to kill and you killing them with the funnest guns ever.
gameplay is terrible
I don't really understand what you mean by gameplay there.
Should I also mention it's really good as a social experience, much like football, or Rugby (go Wales by the way).
Or that many good things have happened for others as a result of gaming? Totalbiscuit -- #1 UK's variety gamer has gotten his name through games and has given what that's gotten him to charity. King Of The Web folks.
It's shown, like a minute through.
And hey, I've linked this site twice, but these 6 points for why it's getting better is only logical and true.
And should I mention that it gives birth to insanely talented and intelligent people? We're talking about being beyond the level of Football or Chess, in both of their aspects. Finesse, psychology and mental endurance put SaviOr to the test but he withstood the onslaught against all odds.
I wouldn't have brought this one up were it not for the last point made that applies to me especially. Darnit, read all of these, if only for the entertainment.
I think that it's benefitting me in more than just entertainment.
Haha that was actualy quite interesting, but then I switched over to this and that made me kinda creeped out because I recognized those points in alot of the games I used to play but then quit because I relized that I was spending more than half my day on them.
but these 6 points for why it's getting better is only logical and true.
The last point, morality, really acts agianst itself because even if they ARE trying to teach you morality, I always end up doing the evil thing for the better cutscenesor because you can't do that in real life.
i like games like borderlands because when you played it once you can go on playthrough 2 and all the enemys are the same level and its the same challenge but harder so replayabiltity
I agree with floodrunner7777. Borderlands was the perfect game. It had a FPS gameplay, a million guns, moderate graphics (sorta cartoony, but only in the slightest), a million quests, RPG gameplay, great music, challenging, vast array of enemies, and of course the replayability.
I like games because im playing games sence i had 5 years i think and i love games with zombies like L4D2 I like MMO games like WoT,WoWp and WoP...But i never seen end of games...Its just for time killing nothing else but i still love games

So you like games that have different difficulties? Also is it just that the enemies get harder and it's the exact same game all over agian?
I like car games.Road fighter is my most favorite game.I like this game because i like the speed of this game. All rounds that are comes while playing this game are awesome.Even after using Game cds we can also sell them at a good price to our friends and known persons.
I like games that have lots of things to do so you have a while to play them.. but I like video games in general cause I like being able to things I couldn't do in real life xP
GTA kind of games are wot i like, open world with lots of things to do. I love the fact that u can do wot ever you want and there is no limit (with hacks i mean ;P)
I think my all time favorite game would have to be borderlands. I like that you never have to follow the storyline and the game is huge. I also like the graphics and that you can play Co-op with your friends. Its also a first person shooter and that is cool. Its like a role playing shooter. Another good thing is that you can play it over and over and you can always have different results. There are four characters each with their own skills. And the skills are skill-trees so you can always mix and match to be different. And there are plenty of places to explore that you will probably miss the first time playing. It also has plenty of DLC (4) although the Underdome wasn't that great, it doesn't matter because the game was truly amazing. And there weren't a lot of glitches in the game. Also the game was fast and you don't need to rely on tactics that much. I just have to say if you've never played borderlands then you should try it because it really is fun.
