I personaly always liked the fact that you can pretty much do anything in a video game and be anywhere, I don't really care much for music in videogames and if it's not crucial to the game I will usualy turn it off. Graphics are always nice but really if everything was just wireframe blocks I really wouldn't care. A plot is always nice but games like Serious Sam could make up for having no plot by making it just one big shooting arena and fun game with not much reality mixed into it. I always like games that give you freedom and hate games that just put you almost on rails and all you can do is just go foward, but arcade games like House of Dead make up for that bacause it is one the only games that can get really intence in a arcade.
Why shooting games are awesome: You can kill people, and get away with it legally. You have the freedom to drive vehicles, planes, etc. You can parachute in some games, you can also learn about guns, vehicles, etc. You can get better at math by purchasing guns in some games. (i.e CoD games with the currency system)
Why racing games are awesome: You can race for wild bets, and if you lose, you won't lose all your pride. You can damage other's vehicles without them getting pissed and calling a hit-man on you to kill you in your sleep. You can enjoy the speeds at which you can travel in an awesome car that you might never own in your life.
Why sports games are awesome: They aren't. Play real sports.
like games like borderlands because when you played it once you can go on playthrough 2 and all the enemys are the same level and its the same challenge but harder so replayabiltity
I thought that borderlands was alot easier on playthrough two. And you had way more slots for guns.
So you like games that have different difficulties? Also is it just that the enemies get harder and it's the exact same game all over agian?
Its the same game but the feeling is better and its awesome. Its like you get to go back in time with the knowledge you already have. Most games you have to restart all over again but borderlands lets you keep your skills and stats and still the enemies aren't any harder because they level up with you. Its awesome.
Infinite ammo. I hate it when you are playing something like halo in firefight mode, and your shooting the thousands of enemies, when suddenly, your assault rifle is out. Hate it. Then you pick up the lousy alien weapons.
Well, I like everything about video games. You can pretty much be anybody, do whatever you want with really no consequences. Also I like strategy games that have you think in able to advance.
I enjoy playing video games because it offers me a break from reality and gets rid of any stress I have accumalated throughout the week or day. It's a great way to interact with friends as well!
Honestly, my favorite thing about any game is to have no limit, as well as games that have no real goal (go dwarf fortress!). I have to agree with most of these other comments on the subject. Such as customization and plot can very well make or break a game.
Actually I ask that to myself, if we have a TV and stations and we have everything ready and we don't need to do decisions like in games, and we love Video Games more. I hate cheating and Hacking in video games I want to test myself in the game not cheat like a lot of people.
Oh and I love Bethesda Softworks Games, EA Games, Bioware and a lot more, I hate Call of Duties, right now I'm playing Skyrim and SWTOR and waiting for next Fallout.
