Maplestory is better because the skills are very nice and runescape's are the worst I ave ever seen on a MMORPG but thats because it's on a site and you dont need to download it.
alsage: very important note: me and a bunch of friends downloaded maple story and we all got the worse virus ever it showed very bad pics that you wouldn't want to know so be ready for it if you download maple story
Never heard of this, maybe it wasn't Maplestory but a bad download site? Maplestory is a Nexon game and nexon reallykeep virusses out at all cost.
in runescape you can craft your own armour and items and food, as well as fish. in Maplestory it is just grind and level up. The classes are unequal, items are too hard too find, everyone should be able to do Party Quest when they want to, and the level cap is 200. like 2 or 3 people IN THE WORLD.

Actualy, there are over 30 lvl 200s in GMS alone, and maplejapan has even more than that. MS is a fun game that you need patience to enjoy.
Can't really say... (I've tried 'em both.) Maple has better graphics, but Manga MORPGH (Or whats it called...) won't work to me. Runescape is really boring, The graphics are sad and mining and the other stuff are boring as hell.

lol!!! maple has good graphics??? You look like a fricken aborted fetus... seriously, If the proportions kept between an unborn babies head and the rest of its body was kept as it grew, it would look like a character from maplestory. also, Maple is super-fricken-rediculously boring.... all you do his hold down the attack button and slaughter little colored blobs of piss... or mushrooms... seriously, wtf is up with that? fricken' mushrooms? also, the pallette swapping is atrocious in that game... it's just horrid. also, the customer service would suck... if they actually had customer service... what they have instead is some asian nerd who tells everyone that lodges a complaint that they can su-.... this is getting awkward... also, Maple is just one big scam... pay real life money for items... that I can understand. It breaks the fairness of the game, but I can understand it. Making the items disappear after 30 days... that's just obviously a scam.
On to Runescape: passable graphics (for a free game, hey at least it isn't anime shit) and somewhat 3d... a crapload of stuff if you pay, hardly anything if you don't.... combat, I must say is mostly boring and only exciting when you know you're about to get raped... (for example- wandering through high level wildy.... and you see a chaos elemental for the first time... need I say more?) grinding to earn money is boring, but in an addictive, brain-cell killing sort of way. So, runescape is your average mmo (if you pay, if you aren't going to, you shouldn't really bother... (go play Hands of War instead =D) nothing too amazing, but not really bad in anything (if anyone bitches about the graphics, they updated those, or so I've heard (yes an update... what? Maple players don't know what that is?) so they may be somewhat better now. I went to check, but my computer couldn't run the HD mode =( so I had to play with old graphics, so I just didn't play) Maple on the other hand is a 2-d piece of crap where little 12 year olds run around getting married and beating the stuffing out of FRICKEN TEDDY BEARS because they haven't played a real mmo yet...
So, I would say that RS is better, but only fun because of that addictive stuff that they put in mmos... you take a few weeks off and you're better off going to play counter-strike.
maple story totally destroys rune scape, runs scape is slow, boring, graphics suck, no good bosses, and there not very many people that ARENT little kids playing.
both runescape and mapple story are pretty boring, but if i had to choose between the two i would go with mapple story. It's just flat out better than runescape
MS wins due to the fact that it has more to do, more skills, usually a more mature user base (usually) and it has a better interface (for the most part, i don't like point and click games, but there are a few exceptions)
MS is certainly not the best game nexon has put out, Mabinogi is in my mind a better choice (the graphics are alot better than both, although the interface is a bit more limited) Combat Arms was also a decent FPS they put out a while back.
Other than that, free games.... try knight online.... or just find a cheap pay to play/ 1 time payment game, I'd recommend Guild Wars if you can afford to buy a campaign (20-40 bucks depending on which you buy(try to find platinum editions, or special combo packs, they are always cheaper than buying the seperate parts included)).
