The whole conflict started with Russia attacking civilians. If indeed Russia makes this an official war against Georgia, then for sure it would prove to be Georgia's demise.

this was just before we had told Russia to get out of georgia so now russia upset at the u.s.a. since we had a warship right next to em rihgt after we told them to leave
That has been the problem with Russias army for years and years however i dont see how the russian armies problems relates to this as they clearly had no problem overrunning georgia.
well this is kind of a different topic really a new cold/hot war but w/e its a good 1. If Russia started a war the only way i can see hem winning is by starving the west of resources. Since Gorbachov their defence budget has been cut massively and they dont have the money or men or equipment to combat NATO. However the theory is that If Russia could take over and hold onto the Middle East then they control something like 96% of the worlds oil and so could starve the West into submission.
