This will seem really lame until you think about it, but I say Metroid Fusion. SA-X is so terrifyingly powerful, it's the only enemy in a video game I've ever actually be scared of. Zombies and stuff like that don't scare me, a genetic copy of yourself that can't die does.

Scary maze game.

Left 4 dead isn't technically "scary", as much as it will make you jump...a lot...only in the first month of playing though. AFter that you get used to sweatshirt-wearing zombies screaming and jumping on you as they rip your innards out.

Nazi Zombies once you hit the upper levels, such as 36+, it gets really scary, and especially if you run out of ammo.

Hmm.. scariest game for me would be Fatal Frame 2. With nothing but a camera to defend yourself and a decript manor, nothing beats it.

Also, I find the atmosphere in dead space quite intense.

hmmm. i think the scariest game ever would have to be...resident evil 5. im not really scared of it its just creepy with all the new types of zombies the t-virus can create.

dead rising isnt scary just the clown guy it freaked me out and after that i couldnt sleep
