I saw that, it was an epic dodge, first i saw it on youtube then the news. They said the body guards couldve reacted faster. They should've reacted faster, like what if instead of a shoe he threw a knife ( just saying ) it wouldnt be good if a second one was threw into of him. But of course bush would hopefully dodge the knife . That was a cool dodge though. After that the prime minister tried protecting him from the second shoe if you didnt see. He put his hand in front of bushes face.

On a more serious note, it is actually the deepest form of insult in Arabic culture. On the surface it may seem like a laughing matter but it symbolises the growing animosity towards Americans among the more liberal minded Iraqi populus. Bush laughing it off shows he is a fool and how out of touch he is.
Yeah... Bush was pretty oblivious to the gravity a shoe being thrown at him in relation to Middle Eastern culture. Of course, so was I before this happened. Personally I think he'll get off with a slap on the wrist. I mean, they keep saying we went there to liberate Iraq and bring democracy. That was free speech in action!
