i don't know if this topic has already been made(if so plz lock) but i just want to set the record straight and say that santa is real and that anyone who disagrees can meet the fury of 32 reindeer hooves
where there are people who acted santa. there is this old guy who is known for being santa. saint nick is also renowned as santa. but still he didn't gave me a single gift even if a am nice! so i quite don't believe he is real. in short Santa ain't real.
Take that back! He is real! Prove that he is not. 8)
"DEAR EDITOR: I am 8 years old. Some of my little friends say there is no Santa Claus. Papa says, 'If you see it in THE SUN it's so.' Please tell me the truth; is there a Santa Claus?
VIRGINIA O'HANLON. 115 WEST NINETY-FIFTH STREET."
VIRGINIA, your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age. They do not believe except [what] they see. They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds. All minds, Virginia, whether they be men's or children's, are little. In this great universe of ours man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect, as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge.
Yes, VIRGINIA, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus. It would be as dreary as if there were no VIRGINIAS. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished.
Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies! You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas Eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if they did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove? Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that's no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world.
You may tear apart the baby's rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, VIRGINIA, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding.
No Santa Claus! Thank God! he lives, and he lives forever. A thousand years from now, Virginia, nay, ten times ten thousand years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood.
of course Santa is real. If he wasn't, where would the story have come from...did someone just 'invent' a random fat man who spends all year working towards just one day? Of course not.
Santa loves children, and having seen unhappy kids all over the world, makes it his goal in life to ensure that every child gets to be happy for one whole day, where they are treated as special by all around them, and who get toys that they can enjoy for as long as they want after Christmas day.
I really think he is real, because we put out sherry and cookies and they are mostly gone when we wake up and we put carrots + water and they're mostly gone. So, I think the people who don't believe are just bad during the year. Anyway, some people get presents and stockings from Santa and some get just stockings and presents from their families (me) and some just get presents (because they don't have stockings usually), and so I do think that some things might be not realistic (they could be) so sometimes believing in something just means that you believe in it.
And that is my believing/theory, and I think that you are just not letting yourself believe if you don't believe.
Sorry for double posting, but in the middle of that I meant that some people get stockings from Santa and presents from their families and some people get just presents from Santa and their families. I just forgot to put "From Santa" in my sentences.
There was a Saint Nick in Turkey and the spirit of Santa Claus exists, but there is no real physical person called Santa Claus that lives in the North Pole and flies around the world on a sleigh pulled by reindeer one special night a year. Anyway, apparently he watches children all year long to put them on either a "nice" or "naughty" list, then eventually goes to their house and breaks in. That sounds like the first part of a felony or MSNBC special.
btw 50/50 for me cuz my parents get me stuff so do frends but if he exits or not i dont know. i think its child labour anyway the way he makes elfs apparently work so hard i mean do they even get paid?
