I'd really agree with what pizzadude said, I love the STG-44. If I had to choose an American weapon I would choose the Thompson submachine gun.

I'm for artillery. Yes, the Germans had some nice weapons, but my personal favorite is the PAK40. Nothing like shooing a 45mm cannon!

@Snakebite, you know it. It's my favorite artillery piece of WWII, along with the Flak 88 in second place.

It wasn't a WWII weapon, hence the "47" part it was made 2 years after.

I don't know the name of the gun, but the shotgun that they had back then.

My fave WWII weapon would probably be the Browning Automatic Rifle, or the .30 Caliber Machine Gun.

My prefered WW2 weapon would be the atomic bomb. So far it has saved lives, as the only alternative to using said bomb would have been a full scale ground invasion of Japan... Costing millions of lives on both sides...

However, if "The Bomb" won't for some strange reason be counted as WW2 weapon, then I will go with the M1 Garand.

I like the Bar. It's like the M1Grand but only better.

@Texcido, it was called a trench gun, and it was quite powerful and deadly in it's prime.

@Rubberychicken, the atomic bombs "Fatman" and "Little boy" are considered weapons. It's true however that it was neccesary to use such force as that the invasion of Japan would have cost millions of lives. Because Japan said that they would fight till their very dying breath.
