Ignore the title. My dog wrote it ^^
Moving on.

So, what do you know that's special about your neighbourhood, town, city, district, state, province, country, etc?

Anything that's unique, totally random (like cranberry juice was invented there) and so on.

There's nothing special where I live as far as I know 0_o

I live in Bloomington, Illinois.

Lets see...ISU is in Normal (twin cities)
-Steak and Shake originated here
-Named #20 of #25 smartest communities (based on college degrees of citizens)
-Named one of the best 5 places to play golf by Daily Digest
-State Farm was founded here
-Beer nuts first produced here

That's all I can recall off hand.

I'm from Merced, California. Its nickname is "The Gateway to Yosemite" and I guess it really is the biggest city within close-up viewing distance. Other than that, I think someone from Merced has won a gold medal in the Olympics, but I can't remember his name.

I can't think of anything special about my hometown, except the state football team sometimes has lunch at one of the Italian restaurants here.

well... the city I come from in is the first in car accident related deaths, reported gonorrhea cases, and reported Chlamydia cases and runner up in reported HIV cases...

yea fantastic place...

There is also a huge class diversity, if you go towards the east side of town, it is really run down, however towards the west side, houses range from 500,000-2.9 million dollars.

If I'm not mistaken I think plasma screen TVs were invented close to where I live. I think that is pretty freakin cool.

Umm other than that we have the Hudson River, it's a pretty historical area.

Bloomington is in Illinois. Hence the comma after Bloomington and before Illinois.

Well.. In my city, we have some rare animals that u will never find in other countries, and organizations that save all animals whose member is more than a thousand. And we also have some historical buildings, a gold monument, etc, etc. =)
