No, that is ridiculous. You mess up in a plane, you go doun. You mess up in a car, 7 people go down. You mess up in a plane, you have 3,000 feet to catch yourself You mess up in a car well... Your engine fails in a plane, you glide to earth. Your engine fails on earth you crash. Anybody can get a licence, but a pilot's licence takes hours of flight time. In a car, there is no control tower...
cars are actually more dangerous because of how many car accidents that happen in the span of a day. Plane accidents are rare, but even when one happens, it still has yet to leave a dent in the numbers of car accident/ car related fatalities and injuries.
Cars are statistically and practically far more dangerous. There is a much higher percentage of cars as opposed to planes that get in crashes every day. Sure there are millions of cars, but there are also thousands of planes over the US every DAY. So really, planes are much.
Planes are definitely safer. Whilst any accidents caused might be potentially more catastrophic than any car crash in known history, they usually don't happen.
Car accidents constitute for a large percentage of deaths in some African countries. Apparently the drivers work long hours, get tired after the third day and.....
How often do you see newspaper headlines screaming 'Plane Crash in XXXX'. Compare that to the total number of articles reporting on car accidents every day.
Though I must clarify that using different criteria, you end up with different answers.
there has only been rare incidents of commercial planes going down. I'm sure once in a while they do (9/11 world trade centers) but car crashes happen everyday, and constituted far more fatalities than just a 1 or 2 plane crashes a year (you'd definitely hear that on the news)
Car's accidents are more comun than plane crashs, but you got more chance of getting out alive a car crash than a plane crash, unless you jump before the crash with parachute, but its hard to know when a plane's gonna crash.

if any...[/quote]
Umm... Actually they do occur, its just that the crashes are extremely detrimental to an airline's stock so they don't like it all over the new... And they do occur, but you only get one every couple years because every time one goes down, a new chapter is written into every handbook on flying. Every pilot must learn from every other pilot's mistakes. That is why they are so good. The crashes that occur are now just people that were stupid and lazily forgot to check something for fatigue, didn't put a part in right or something like that. It is almost never the pilot's fault...
Uhh... I heard, that there are more accidents because of donkeys, than planes, so I think the planes are safer, but you can not travel by plane anywhere. And on the other hand, there are the fact, that lots of people not die because of the car, and the plane, so it's a hard decision. I would choose car, because I like it better
