Hi, I was wondering what everyone thinks about Xbox 360's gamerscore system, some seem to think it's pointless, but others think its a good way to have a bit of friendly competetion with your friends, but what do you, the people who play games on this very site think?
I think gamerscore is sort of a nice way to compare yourself to other gamers and friends plus the achievements add for more entertainment and gaming hours if you plan on getting them
I think the gamerscore is useless. However, for others it adds another level of fun with a game. After beating a game, you still can go through and try to get all the achievements. I guess for some it is a badge of honour but to me it doesn't mean a whole lot.
It is useless and counts for nothing, but lots of people, including myself, like to get all the achievements by playing the game and going through the achievement list to try and get them all. It just makes the game more fun
Yeh, theres no point in the Gamerscore system, it's just to get you to play. When you look at some people with high gamerscore, you know that they play their games.
Well, in my opinion, it is mostly pointless. Though, the achievement system does encourage you to try to get every achieve and thus, explore the game further. Of course, it could be also used to compare how much a person spends time on a game.
Absolutely pointless, although I do like the satisfaction of getting more challenging achievements. I also like it when achievements require the player to try something new and then it turns out that something new is also something awesome that I would have missed out on otherwise.
No, it something to brag about, and something to do. The other day my friend tried calling himself pro with 2500 gamerscore, my live account has over 10,000.
