Yeah, I think it's a horrible game, yet 10 million people disagree with me. I mean, if you think about it, it's basically just Runescape with better graphics...
Yes, it is overrated. It's Runescape that you have to pay a monthly fee for. It's so pointless. I really don't like those kinds of games... I tried to play a demo of it and it was fun for maybe ten minutes.

I could explain how the gameplay is radically different, the combat requires more than a single click, and that there is a much higher cap on the players ability to influence their performance (Skill, as most would call it)... But it is much easier to say something that attempts to be witty and is remarkably devoid of content like "Halo is just Doom with better graphics...".
Agree with Raxel.I do admit that pre-expansion wow is repetative and lonely because most of the players are level 80. However each expansion vastly improves the game in every way. The new expansion Cataclysm will almost entirely remake all of pre-expansion WoW. When it comes out you should try it again and not refuse because it has "dorky gameplay."
the game is overrated, I liked the game, It was fun and addictive, but when I saw the prices I almost puked blood. People are sick! wow is probably the most expensive videogame I have ever seen! Completely not worth it, but the game would be great if it was free.

You're poor and you've never seen any other MMORPG, or for that matter. It has been explained to death time and time again that MMORPGs are reasonably priced, and even if this sounds a bit ad populum, millions of people agree.

A point that is as obvious as it is irrelevant. Food, housing, water, sports, cars, and pretty much anything else you have to pay for would be great free too.
If it isn't painfully obvious, I'm sick and tired of the antiquated arguments and the lack of effort people put into bashing games. If you're going to bash games you should at least look like you're TRYING not to be completely ignorant to their workings.
Overrated to some degree. I've played it on and off for a while and it's still enjoyable to play. The backstories and the history are interesting coming from a Warcraft II and III player. But bashing video games gets everybody nowhere. It's a video game: play it then enjoy it or just leave it alone.
Yeah it's overrated, and I think Star Wars: The Old Republic will be better once it comes out. However Valkyrie my homie(srry for the abuse of english) I do like to play it sometimes especially since it gives me the chance to meet up with my cousins who play the game. I am sort of in the middle here.
It's quite good but i just got really bored after a week of playing it. i think wow is overrated to a certain level. i personally play wow, and was hooked immediately. there are points that bores or annoys me, but there are parts which makes me want to play more. but thats just my .02.
