Given enough time all games will wither away and die, mmorpgs are no exceptions and neither is WoW but hopefully hehe runescape shall live one lol because it has a different business plan...anyways I prefer the free to play and for somethings you pay but thats just me if you look at how many WoW clones there are, there are those that are pretty good and just as tedious to play yet have a poor user base hopefully in the future games that resemble WoW will have similar user bases because as most MMO players know its alot about the social aspect not just gameplay.
Yes,it very much is. Many kids waste their time playing a game that is totally useless. At least this site teaches social skills,but not much. You do try to work on your grammar a little bit when you are typing.
I played EVE this summer. I have to say, it's one of the best and most rewarding MMORPGs I've played. Beautiful graphics, amazing control and depth, and most of all, it's actually an intelligent game. There's lots of calculations and strategy involved, which makes it interesting.

I 100% agree with valkyrie1119 the OP. WoW is completely overrated. 10 million people can actually be wrong. 10 million people are interested in feces porn and cocaine, doesn't mean feces porn and cocaine are good things...

if you think about it, it's basically just Runescape with better graphics...
I could explain how the gameplay is radically different, the combat requires more than a single click, and that there is a much higher cap on the players ability to influence their performance (Skill, as most would call it)... But it is much easier to say something that attempts to be witty and is remarkably devoid of content like "Halo is just Doom with better graphics...".

It's quite good but i just got really bored after a week of playing it. If you know a bit about WOW you would know that there wasn't only ONE WOW there were a lot of games:
-Warcraft -Warcraft 2 -Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos -Warcraft 3 The Frozen Throne -WOW -WOW Burning Crusade -WOW Wrath of the Lich King -WOW Cataclysm and there is coming a new version: WOW Mist of Pandaria and I don't want to write the books whith Warcaft too, so i Think WOW was the first.
If you don't want to buy it you can download an not-official version but as good as the official one.And about the booring part, I must to say it is booring if you play alone, but if you would play it with at least 2 friends it is going to be very exting.
