So I can't think of too many threads that I have made like this, but I stumbled upon a website that tests your typing speed, and tried it to find that on average I type at about 30 words per minute. So I got curious as to what the typing speed of others on AG is.

So seriously what is your typing speed?

You can use this site to test your typing speed and get an accurate reading of it:

My speed was 33 wpm. But I'm getting used to a new keyboard at the moment.

i dont know how fast i can type
i always thought i type really fast but i dont wanna take the time to find out, im kinda lazy

Actually Graham, you can. Just hook up a USB keyboard to the PS3, and there you go! Also, you could get a Wireless USB keyboard, and use that.

Woohoo!

Got way more than I expected, expeceted 30-40 wpm, I got...94, at 98.6% accuracy.

Yeah, usually PC keyboards are weird, but Mac keyboards always use USB.

Pretty inaccurate considering I type 80 on laptop and 100+ on one of those old pc keyboards. The thing is when you are typing your own stuff that you are thinking about in your head, you end up typing way faster. This is more a test of your reaction time AND typing time. Becomes a completely different game when you are look at other people's texts and transcribing them.

While I agree with you. Do you know of a better way possibly that could test your typing skill possibly? If you do then it could be used as a better way to test peoples typing skill I suppose. Though honestly for me I don't always type at top speeds because I have to think of what I am going to type before I do so. So IDK its not perfect. Though that is an impressive typing speed.

I got 58 the first time, 69 the second, and 70 the third. So my average would be 65 wpm.
