I would choose a halberd, simply because it's a blunt weapon at first sight, but actually requires a lot of skill to use it properly and a lot of strenght too of course... excellent for zombie slashing and hacking! You DO need a good pair of glasses to go with it though! Because of all the bloodspatters... *grins*

I have a question about that. Lets say you got some kinda obsidian scythe, and you cut off a zombie's head with it. Can the zombie still bite at you? I mean, the brain is still in tact.... o-o
Well..yes, the brain would still be intact with the skull, but it lost any sort of vascularity (blood flow) from the respiratory system of the body, so the virus would have nothing to use once the brain died off.

This has prooved to be the only way to actually 'kill' a zombie! But if they are alone and really slow, it's fun (in a morbid way I know) to dismember them one limb at a time and watch them try to get to you still... :S

Sorry Axel, but this weapon is not allowed by the rule presented in the first comment by the maker of the thread (gregzilla824), so you have to think of another piece to use...
Besides. Chainsaws need fuel. In a zombie-infested world, where are you going to get the fuel? The average man and woman don't know how to get fuel properly. Chainsaws....take time to rev up, if you found one laying around, it probably doesn't work at all...and most of all, it takes seconds to shred a zombie to pieces when you could just hack its head off with a machete! And when there is a zombie party eying at you, there's no time to spare.
When up close and persoanl, an MP5 or AK assault rifle is your best bet, If you want to fight from a range your friend would be the M16 or the AR (what was it AR-15?)
I will go with the sniper and unlimited hollow point ammo. Head shots are the only thing that kills them, thats the reason I picked this gun. Also I love the sniper.
