How many of you think that there is life on other planets.

If you do, say why, and when we will find them.

If not, say why not

Also, this is about beings that have intelligent thought not bacteria or plants but a living breathing being. Plants would not be a bad point of discussion though...

As in all my threads, please, no spamming but be scientific.

Maybe google has answers but I have no idea what this formula you are talking about is...

It's called the Drake Equation

Based on the probabilities it would seem likely that there is life on other planets.

Thanks for finding a link, all I had to go on was a History Channel show a few years back and Spore.

Well, I guess we are all partially correct.
But there is no certainty.

the hubble is going to be replaced pretty soon, and we will be able to see further than the hubble was able to see. and its not the telescope alone that does it, its also who's manning it.

Even if its replaced, theres a limit on how far we can see in any direction. Since the universe is only 13-14 billion years old(as far as we can tell), light has only had that long to travel through space, thus we can see a sphere with a radius of 13-14 billion light years.

But I believe there is life somewhere in the universe, and probably intelligent life too.

Basically.. but you would think there has to be something out there.. even plants.. or even a tiny worm. It's still called an ''alien''

Aliens are perceived as other things.. When the actual meaning of alien is just stranger.. basically someone or something that does not belong to the environment around it.

To see more we'll definitely have to create an operation base in another system and view from there.

Or we would give the species a scientific name that nobody can remember and bring it back to Earth for study and have it wither in a matter of minutes and...

Well, maybe we won't find an alien plant :/

Anything even small cellular organism can be considered "aliens" even stuff that is not native.

I believe that their is alien life in the universe but it might be too far away for us to get at it.

Or even if we did find some signals of alien life it might of already disappeared by the time we would travel to it.

ok, its such a small probability that there is only us (intellegent) that its not even funny. yes, there are other life forms on other planets in different galaxies...

I KNOW there are aliens out there. Infact they are on this planet, believe me or not. I've been studying them while they study us. Evenetaully after much hate we've come to a small agreement, the aliens can study life around here under my supervision

I know i sound crazy but i think there's an alien in my class (0_o)

They look like us.
