I like cheats that are for fun, not ones that make the game easier... except for Contra... then cheating is necessary.

definition of cheat plz.

cheat-a code that makes the game very easy and/or overpowers a single thing or multiple things.
hack-a way of redoing the coding of the game to do something that other people cant like noclip.

downsides...

cheat-often have bad side effects like inability to finish the game or corrupting the data.
hack-you eventually get hit in the head with a high force flying computer. usually thrown by DR HAAAAAAAX!

In my opinion, cheats are just for lazy time days while playing a game. See what they do, cancel them, and play. Cheats in my opinion are for sore losers (not playing the game fairly). In my perspective, you should only use cheats to see what it does, and not take over the whole game, or use it when your done with the game (that you played fairly). So cheats aren't a bad thing, just make it fair, don't overpower it.

Here's my opinion. There should never be cheat codes that just instantly win the game for you, or something like that. But if after you beat the game you unlock them, and you get special items/new things/jokes from them, that's fine. I'm all for messing around, but I think the game should be played, not enter a code and say you're the best because you have everything.

i'll use cheats if its only for like unlockables, easter eggs, etc but not to further me in the games normally i'll use them after i actually beat the game

Games need to be played through, not cheated through. But I guess if you're already done with the game and you don't have anything left to do, then sure, go ahead and screw around with cheats. It does make some games more fun, after all.

also if you post a cheat on youtube there is a 100% chance that it will be fixed. i dont know why people dont get it but i tell them if you find an abusable glitch and see someone else about to tell everyone about the glitch then either kill them or stop the telling from occuring.

I'm fine with people using cheats, it doesn't hurt me. As long as they don't do it while playing multiplayer. It just ruins it. And it's unfair.

It is just how u use it. I have no problemen with people who use THE flying Cars cheat in GTA san Andreas after completion of THE main story

Cheats are only good when you cant beat a game or your stuck on a level.But sometimes people cheat for the fun of it

tbh i think certain cheat codes are boring and take away from the game
however cheats on games like gta and saints row that allow you to just generally mess around are good and fun
i mean who hasnt taken a helicopter up a skyrise before driving off?

Cheat codes on a game like GTA IV or other Sandbox games add a lot of flavor and fun to the game that would otherwise be unattainable, so for offline play I love cheat codes, though they are becoming less and less common among major games.

As far as cheating for online/multiplayer play, I absolutely hate it.
