Cheat codes ruined the fun of Starcraft: Brood War for me. They made the game way too easy and you can't have all the fun (and occasionally, frustration) of beating the game. It takes away the challenge and satisfaction of beating the game the right way.
There alright when u don't use them to skip through the game. I mean why did u by the game. I use them after the game. I repeat the game using cheat codes, and it's kinda fun
They're only good if they aren't used just to raise your stats or in multiplayers. I'll use them sometimes when I'm bored. Like I'll set it to invincibility, all guns, infinite ammo on the Goldeneye 64 Runway level and have the enemies crowd me like zombies, then set off dozens of remote mines at my feet, or practice my aim with the grenade launcher, or test the power of other guns.
i dont like cheat codes. i mean, a person who beat a game using cheat codes didnt really beat the game in my opinion. i only use cheatcodes after i finished a game to see how they work but thats it.
It usually takes the fun or so called pizzaz out of a game, kills your feeling of achievement you might say, for xbox 360, using a cheatcin a game could lock an award, so it would considered be bad to use in those circumstances, but cheats are also fun, and something that I tend to use after finishing up a game, and or starting over. Cheat codes could also help you out in a few ways that still give you satisfaction on completing a part of some game as long as it just helps you out a little.
If your asking me my opinion on cheat codes, Good, but only at specific occurancys at a game, end or restart of beginning are usually best choices.
Cheats are both good and bad. It's usually good when you try to pass a hard level, trying to unlock something cool, or just playing around, but it's bad because your taking the fun out of the game. Say like your trying to beat this tough boss, who has killed you a billion times! All of a sudden you beat him and you jump up for joy for killing. At that moment you feel satisfied, but if you used a cheat you could've easily killed him with one blow. But you don't feel satisfied do you? But anyways it's both good and bad.
I liked to cheat when I was younger, but I never really cheat nowadays. Games today tend to be easy enough as it is, and if you take away the challenge completely, it tends to ruin the fun.
Though, after you've finished a game, and you only play to mess around, then cheats can be kind of fun.
