My signature is here, and I don't have to type it on every post, because I type it only once in my profile and then anyone can read it on my every forum post.
Honestly I don't see why evyone wants a signature. I mean yea it would be cool, but there just a waste if you ask me. They don't really do anything for the site, but just give more personality to the indvidual. It's not nesessary to give that much to people especially when you would have to code it and make rules for it. It would take alot of time and would definetly produce a large amount of glitches in the site. Also the people on the site could just type it if they realy want one that badly. You also have consider the About section on your profile. There is alot of room to do things on there that wouldn't be there on ever site.
I'm not saying that there a bad thing but I just think that it would be unnsessary.
Personally, I think signatures tend to be pretty obnoxious... that is what profiles are for. To post your personal information and all the little tidbits of knowledge about yourself that the world is just dying to know. I think it would just take up extra room on the page and extra space on the servers. I think the forums looks much cleaner without that sort of stuff going on.

i used to think we needed sigs. now i do think it just looks messy and makes the forums harder to read. and with sigs there will be more rules to follow, and who likes rules?
Signatures would be a good feature, with BB-Code, character and data size limitations. And of course they would have to be moderated.

No sigs doesn't mean death, but sigs would be a nice feature. And the lack of features including signatures, that this forum has makes it look bare-bones. Even though it is probably supposed to be like that here.

Bad justification. Rules are necessary to clamp down on chaos.
I agree sigs are bad who needs to read the same thing that they don't care about on every post? It would just make threads harder to read and navigate.
Annoying. All I have to say. Unless it's just your name, like I used to just do Iphone at the end. But even that got annoying to look at. So I stopped.
I hope to see here forum signatures with BBcode in future =) And of course the size of signature should be limited to several text lines (I think that 3-4 will be enough).
i think its a great idea but i think if u can only put written things in there it would be better than pictures or adds. @Sairis i agree 3-4 lines would certainly be enough
