Battlefield Bad Company 2 all the way. I bought MW2 used to try it out and took it back the next day disappointed. The pacing in BFBC2 is just so much greater as well as the vehicles being able to be driven and what not. Definitely BFBC2.
I am really looking forward to buying Battlefield Bad Company 2 I have owned and play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 for a while now and it is amazing so I hope from what I see you guys say that BFBC2 will be even more fun than MW2.

MW2: Is fun because of the instant reward and fast-paced game play. After a while it gets a little repetitive however, and in my opinion the kill streaks can be a little frustrating. In COD 4/WaW I would get a little mad if I got killed right before a 7 killstreak (Chopper/Dogs), but I wouldn't get too mad if I was getting killed by them because they're easy to combat. In MW2 if I get killed one away from a nuke I'm furious, especially if there's a 9 year old screaming through the mic. Or, similarly, if the other team gets a nuke I can do nothing against it, but I'm fine with that as long as it's earned (aka boosters)
BF: Everything is built on Frostbite, so that means great destructibility and amazing sound. The bullets drop over distance which makes sniping incredibly difficult to master and rewarding and there's actually an emphasis on teamwork, something MW2 never has when playing without a party (even then it doesn't happen much). Vehicle warfare is a familiar BF aspect, and adds a ton to the game. Overall, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is much, much better than MW2.
!You really can't judge them on the single player because it's obvious BC2 had a huge focus on MP. Just look on the front of the case, it shows people playing online (names over the vehicles/soldiers) and on the back only one section talks about SP!
I fell in love with Battlefield BC2 when i played my first game. I used to only play mw2 for 5 months and BC2 was a welcome change. The realistic physics and destructible environments with the Frostbite engine really blew my mind. You can spot targets for your team, revive fallen teammates, fly a Blackhawk helicopter while all of your buddies use the guns on it a light the enemy up. Love the graphics, love the sound, love not having OMA Danger Close Noobtubes or marathon lightweight commando knifers. im so sad i have to return it soon..
Only problems with BFBC2 are frostbite engine hit registry problems. Since the engine is bullet based and not so much hitbox based (as MW2 is), weird shit can happen.
In MW2, bullets don't exist, you click/pull RT/press R1 and the opponent is instantly hit if in your sights. In BFBC2, bullets are everything. Which makes for far more realistic gameplay (having to lead the targets a different distance depending on how fast and how far away they are, bullet drop, etc.), but also worse hit detection at times.
But yeah, I hate what MW2 represents. They took COD4, a respectable game. Put in worse maps. Increased amount of useless perks, increased amount of useless attachments, increased killstreaks (you shouldn't be rewarded for being good, if you're good your score should already reflect such), deathstreaks, etc. They took COD4 and made it super casual-gamer friendly.
