Flow tap is not a glitch in the game though. It's an actual skill. The double jump on the other hand is a glitch. It's a flaw in the game and should be completely removed.

If it goes against John's ideals of the game then yes because its his game and if he wishes it to be his definition of "fair" without double jumps then so be it
well you can only double jump if you have the skills. if thats unfair then the ability to use flow tapp is unfair too. and then the ability to be good in this game would be unfair too. people should just learn how to do it.
There's a fundamental difference between the two. Tap Flow can be figured out by anyone with common sense and who gave it some thought. Double Jumping on the other hand requires VERY specific conditions (amount of flow needed, jumping next to a solid block etc.) and CANNOT be figured out on your own. Especially when no Double Jumping mechanic is shown or used in Uniplayer-Mode. And THAT is the reason it creates all this confusion.
Is it a cheat or hack? No. Is it a glitch that breaks the game? Definately.
actually, you can understand double jumping when you do it the 1st time in places like marathon etc. i knew about double jumping on my own and had someone else to tell me about tapp flowing
Flow double-jumps are 80% fun factor for me. If this move gets removed this game will become too easy and there is nor further reason to play it. The variety of new moves and new routes available through flow makes this game challenging. And I know distinguished players who think the same way.
Btw.: there are plenty of games out there, where you have to discover stuff that is not explained in any manuel or sinlge player mode. Some games actually live from constant developement. Real time strategy games for example. How boring a game will be, when you have few amount of moves and all is explained from start. No thinking, no effort, no fun....
I think that taking the double jump out will make the game harder. Maybe because everyone that's good at this game will be doing the normal routes and will be pretty evened out.
In my opinion of the double jump. Very unnecessary glitch. It just makes the game itself boring for me. I know that I use it but the game is no fun with it. It's very unfair to the other players and makes them feel like that you're cheating. I know it's not cheating already and I've been known this for a long time. I just think that it should be taken out so that everybody could have a great experience with the game.
actually i think its more fun. the game was really fun before i knew about that trick. when i saw it for the first time i didnt think about cheating and it was a great feeling discovering the trick by myself. maybe id even stop playing this game if that glitch wasnt there (and wouldnt even make an account and be here right now XD). and after i knew how to do it it was really fun making up theories about schort cuts. you had a more free feeling in that game and i really liked to show my creative side. even now when people think all of the shortcuts are already known i still found some shortscuts or ways to make them better

There's still a difference between those and actual game glitches.
Not to mention you can't compare a game like Exit Path with RTS games because the concept of depth in those games is completely different. Think about it....the amount of things you CAN do in a RTS are in fact explained. What creates actual depth is the interactions between units/factions as well as certain play-styles that affect the game. Those cannot be mentioned in manuals because those should be considered more "meta" (for lack of a better term ) then anything else.
Face it, Exit Path is not a deep game and was never intended to be. The main reason for that is the fact that it's fundamental design does not allow for depth and here's why:
Any given route in this game has a best route that's undeniably fastest and unbeatable when perfected(though to be fair every racing track EVER has that). At some point those routes will eventually be discovered and more players start using it. At THAT point the game dies because everyones route is the same and it becomes just a race against the clock and not other people. So the problem isn't Double Jump- yay or nay, it's the lack of player interaction with each other and content the game desperately needs to stay afloat (Hint hint: That's also why Colony has more staying power then Exit Path).
To close off, do you not like Mario Kart? Few moves, all is explained and still it's loads of fun. Determining the "fun" of a game can't be generalised with just those two things and ultimately comes down to opinion too.In fact I can think of a lot of "simple" games that I enjoy playing.
Whew....that seems semi-off topic <_<. I apologize.

I don't see why you'd even try to use a jump like that when "normal-game-double-jumps" don't work, unless you already knew about it or saw somebody else do it.
think about it. how did the 1st one discovered that? he made it by mistake like most of us. i remember before i knew about that jump when i was in the end of marathon (low route) i jump to the springs and because there was a block and i pressed up again (to make a low jump but a high on the springs) i double jumped and died XP. or like in that level where you do the jump in the begining and then a straight jump to the end. almost anyone would accidently do a double jump when they reach the spring after going in that arrowy path
