Mountains - high up (good protection from neighboring Towns/Villages/Cities/Etc.), Great source of minerals for Building, Military, and Trade use. May have harsh weather conditions during winter. and Etc. Small-Large population)
Plains-Flat land, Great for Agriculture, No natural protection. 0-7 mineral sources. Small - Extreme population
Desert- Very hot. Your population has adapted, so no worries there. All sand: No Vegetation. Ok Defense from enemies from the heat. Very Little water from an Oasis far from your settlement. LOTS of oil. 0-5 other Mineral sources Small - Large Population. Also can get cold in the Evening, so raids may come more frequently at that time.
Jungle- Lots of wood around you. Mainly village-sized Settlements around you at the beginning. A river is near you, so a good source of water. A great amount of protection, unless you clear the wood out overtime. Fruit grows out of most of the trees, and you can plant vegetables once you clear out a spot of land. Unknown Mineral sources.
