I think most trolls (internet or otherwise) would be offended by that. As far as I know, at least from Norse lore, trolls are rather big, and often of a friendly kind (well, Danish trolls liked to throw rocks after the church towers when the bell was ringing, and some trolls have had the position as the child-napper/child-replacer instead of the Fae).
I actually don't think they're real as they belong to fantasy.
Is this the time for me to start my argument of "Why dragons very well could be real"? Nah, probably not. Will, however, mention that they belong in a lot of myths and lore, and not just in fantasy. I think most countries have a dragon or dragon-like critter in their myths.
