well i believe that both guns are over hyped but i would prefer the m16 in my house but in war maybe an AK-47 but if i had the choice i would pick neither

I would choose a AK-47 if i were in a war because it is easy to use, (children can operate it) is very reliable, low jam rate and can work in the most grueling conditions, not much maintenance required.

M16 I could see myself using but only if the targets were at a long range

Well depends on the game, what the characteristics of each gun in game is, and what the type of gameplay calls for. However, in reality, the Kalashnikov assault rifles will forever out class the M-16.

everygame has different stats but if i was going to run an army give em AKs ther an old gun so more parts have been designed for them making everyone different.

My Favorite gun in the world is the AK-74 sub machine gun. light guns are crap they recoil more why the hell do you want recoil. "he he theres the little bugger in my sights" bang bang bang bang "whoops i shot a bird.

i noticed in in COD 4 and just about every COD where there is an M16 and and AK i actually like the M16 more. i just think its better. i get way more kills withe hte M16 than the AK mostly becuase of it recoil

the M16 is much better for long range, but the AK at close range is almost unbeatable.

hmmm a loooonnnggg time ago i posted a legit response as far as historically, but now i'm certain this is more to a gaming perspective....

M16 usually in the A1/A2 models of 3-round burst in most shooters, tends to be much better for long range firefights or as an overall general purpose gun. The FAL (especially in MW2 or BO) far exceeds all others for general purpose, but the 3 round burst really comes in handy for taking down moving or very very far away targets (I countersniped a sniper once from across map using an M16!). the AK-47, it can be used as a general all-rounder but it is much more suited for close-medium range fights, and it doesn't offer the severe recoil of other assault rifles in Shooters (mainly FPS). It's full auto capability compared to the M16's 3-round burst and it's relative stopping power per round make it a good asset to any player to have, though it definetly wouldn't suit a rusher and maybe not a camper type.......

Overall, i'll put the AK-47 for its superiority as an automatic assault rifle and its immense historical impact, discussed somewhere earlier in this thread.

AK-47 coz it hase more power beter acurasy and for me overall beter plus that im not keen on 3 round burst weapons

i think the AK47 cuz it doesint have as much recoil,its fully automatic not 3 round burst,and it looks cooler

'it looks cooler'. sure the M16 especially the A1-A3 looks like a plastic toy, but I would not want to be on the receiving end of one of its bursts.

well i have to pick AK because its a full auto. i hate m16 because of its 3 round burst.
