i think the 1st games were tetris space invaders and pacman. but what about jumpman? its actually mario before they even decided his name. i remember my grandfather had the arcade in his garage

I'd have to say the most classic that was actually good and got harder and harder(that sounds so wrong!) is asteroids.

final fantasy is pretty dang classic

I think Street Fighter, I always use to play it in those gaming machines when I was little.

The most classic games for me are:
Pac-man(on the PS1)
Spyro(PS1)
Duke Nukem(PS1)
I'm probably missing some, but I'll check later on.

Probably Pac-Man or Space Invaders for the classic Atari 2600. I still have all the cords, controllers, and a bunch of games for it in my basement.

Pac-Man,Mario,Pong. Those are golden oldies. =P

Super Mario Bros. and Contra for the NES. Those games were brilliant classics.

Duck Hunt with the NES Zapper was my favorite game of all time when I was a kid. It's kinda like the prehistoric Wii.

Mario and sonic are some great classics. Mortal kombat is too. I thought that game was great. It was my very first fighting game.

metroid and the first game i've ever played was rayman over 10 years ago and those games aren't bad except for the late games with those darn rabids, no more plots =/
