What's the most emotional experience you had in a video game? For me when I was playing Fallout: New Vegas and I was in the Nipton town hall and "Johnny Guitar" played on my radio. Having that sad song in the creepy building kind of made me scared and sad at the same time. And I admit I was almost going to cry when the song was about over.
Possibly Gears of War 2. When Dom finds his wife. Speaking of which, who has seen Dom in the new Gears of War 3 previews. Maybe its the beard but has anyone else gotten the feeling he's gotten depressed?
in call of duty black ops in the prison level when mason says "come on mate! freedom!" and the other guy says "no mason... freedom for you..." and drives off then gets captured. i just cant help actually having a sort of emotional link with the main character in FPS campain levels.

Koru7, I absolutely agree with you. Kingdom Hearts builds you up to LOVE every (okay, most) characters, and then destroys you at the end when everything that you've worked for is destroyed. Even though I was emotionally compromised while I played, I cried at multiple points during game plays.
I really hatted it when I got a game over on an old system playing Sonic the Hedgehog 2, the classic 1992 game. I was playing that "Flying Fortress" level. At least, that's what I think that it was called. I think that it was near the end of the game too. I had made it to the boss on that zone and I just didn't get it.
Well... excitement is an emotion so... either, when you *Spoilers* Put a portal on the moon at the end of Portal 2, or at the begening of Infamous, when you press the start button and the city blows up.
The end of Portal 1, or the moment in Oblivion that Martin Sceptim sacrifies himself and turns into a flaming dragon and dies. But the most epic saddest ending is Modern Warfare, at the end when all of your friends die. (INCLUDING CAP. PRICE WHO CAN'T DIE)
Well, I think I'll break the mold from all the scripted CoD moments and say this.
During the Suicide Mission in ME2, one of my Fire Team 2 Squadmates was Garrus, a character I used all ME1 and a good majority of ME2, and there was a part where he almost fell off a cliff and my heart skipped a beat, if i had to play ME3 w/o him, the game wouldn't be the same. Luckily, he stayed alive and I lost no one. Well, I lost 3 crew members but i digress. ME2 FTW
