You want a real scary game then get Amnesia: The Dark Descent.
My friend has both and he agrees that Amnesia is the scariest game EVER. Even more so than silent hill and those other games, and alot of people agree.

I might consider getting it. Thanks. But out of all my "horror" games I have I believe F.E.A.R. has to be among my favorite then Dead Space 2.

FEAR was a good game, but wait till you play FEAR2, hehehehe, there are flying dead bodies, random swingsets, teddybears, etc.

i hate those random swingsets they get me very time also did you know that the sounds of bones crunching in that game comes from a guy poking a dead bird with a stick

So I never really had the problem you're describing.

And yeah, as they said before, check out Amnesia. A few trailers on YouTube should be enough to make FEAR and Dead Space look like a kid's game in comparison.

Games are only scary because of 3 elements. Lighting, sounds, and your own fear. Games and movies that people find scary, i dont and no one watches or plays scary movies or games with me because i tear them apart by pointing out everything that is wrong. Lol!

Why are you trying to annoy your mother? That can only end badly, right?

Anyway, the key to Horror is Psychology. Some of the key strengths of Amnesia are:

1. A scary dark. bad things happen there, and you are reminded of it in a menu. You pass out if you stay there too long, but it's your only solace from the monsters.

2. You don't see the monsters very often. And thus you fear them more becuase you know so little about them.

3. A chilling plotline of human sacrifice.

But I would say sound often has a part to play because, unlike graphics and 3D modelling, sounds are much easier to replicate in high quality. Hell, even Minecraft's Zombies freak me out. Badly. Whcih is why I play on peaceful.

For some strange reason my mom hates red dead redemption. i have no clue why. oh and by the way imogwai i saw the trailer for Amneisa

i have Amnesia the dark decent. it is by far the scariest game to play. if you do decide to go and buy it, i suggest that you play on a dark night with the door open and the blinds closed.

Dead Space 2 wasn't really as scary for me because I guess I already knew what some of the Necromorphs do. SO by trial and error I came up with the perfect strategy to kill about every one I see. But the game can still make you insane.

Trust me, creepers in minecraft make every other game look like pre-school in comparison.

Usually, my mom never cares. Usually, I buy my own games... and they're M-games, and Dead Space 2, yeah... she really doesn't care. Well, at least she bought me my Wii and Xbox 360...
