Are you sure about that cross game chat? Because i'm pretty sure sony never mentioned doing anything about it.
i haven't seen an official announcement, only speculation to that. so that is probably going to be a rumor.
BTW sony's stock rose 1% today, what does that mean for the psn restoration date? idk but it does mean people arent giving up on ps3 like some people think

How much more productive can one get? We are all basically repeating the same information over and over again. I'm with Knives92 on this thing. I just want psn to be back on before Honest Hearts is released
crossgame chat is when you can talk to people without having the be on the same game or in a party. its like 'voice chat' but it isnt limited to the menu
The PSN blog says that online should be back in a couple days time, and I highly doubt that the PSN store will be off for a long period of time after online is back up. But, then again, the services were supposed to be back up a week ago...
sony is rich though and with all the new shooters being released, it should help compensate. and ANYONE saying ANYTHING about dates, updates, news in general on the outage PLEASE validate your source
