I don't have BF3 yet, but I'm still playing BFBC2 which I love. I jumped on the Battlefield bandwagon in Bad Company to be honest, and now I'm hooked. I enjoy playing all classes, but mostly Engineer.
I have MW3 right now, but i was thinking of getting BF3 just because of the good reviews it has. I don't know how i will manage two online FPSs but I will try. So do you recommend it even if I already have MW3, or should I save my money?
Pretty sure I'm getting BF3 today if they still have them in stock. Hope I'm able to, this game looks amazing. I can't wait to do the campaign mode then the multiplayer. Will come back to this thread and post about my experiences later if I get it.

They're two completely different games. They are both FPS games, but there are so many things different in them. BF3 is a more team oriented game with large maps, vehicles, and a bunch of cool weapons.
Well, if I were you then I'd get both. You can't go wrong with getting both of these if you want to enjoy two good FPS games. But if you're fine with MW3 then I'd get something else, like Skyrim, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, or Batman: Arkham City. But that's just what I'd do if I was fine with having MW3.
Alright, I got BF3 earlier and played it for about four-five hours. I got a few missions done on the campaign mode and I really enjoyed doing them. The campaign mode is very challenging and fun (and kind of long too, I think I got about 6-7 missions done on normal). I probably played three hours of it before I switched over to multiplayer, and the multiplayer is great. I like all the team-type modes you can choose from and the maps are very nice. There are many spots to go to, like flanking enemies and great spots for snipers. And it's very cool that the stuff around you reacts when you shoot them, such as I shot a building with an RPG and part of it broke off. Also, from what I can tell your weapon levels up? I'm not sure, but I choose the engineer class and that gun they gave me leveled up a few times and I got a few attachments for it. Then when I got a new gun none of the attachments from the previous gun were there, so I'm pretty sure guns level up or something.
Alright, so I've played the multiplayer for about seven hours in total and I like it. One of my top favorite FPS games. My favorite class is definitely the assault/medic one. You easily average 500-1000 points just from dropping med kits and reviving people, plus the kills I get (normally 15-25), so I'm usually first or second on the leaderboard. It's currently my best class, but I've played some with the others as well to increase the level/points for them.
Something I dislike about the controls is the knife and crouch/prone buttons. I'm using a PS3, so occasionally when I'm trying to shoot someone I accidentally press the crouch/prone button and that messes me up. Otherwise I'm fine with them. But I like how you can sneak up on enemies and take their dog tags with the knife. I think I've gotten around 40 different people with that already.
Also, there are often campers in this game (shouldn't be surprised since they are in every FPS game, but it seems like there's more here, probably because this game is rather new and a lot of people recently got it, so most of them are newcomers), but I don't see why they are doing it; you can carry RPGs/launchers in this game as a special and you can easily take them out with those quickly. I think it's better to just run around the maps killing the enemies, on team/squad deathmatch of course.
I don't often play the other modes because I'm not used to doing objectives like that, but I'll get around to them one of these days. First I want to boost my level to around 20-30 and get some new weapons. I'm currently a level 13 or 14.
I didn't like the campaign mode for Battlefield 3 as much as the multiplayer. The multiplayer was great, I totally suggest it to someone who likes FPS as much as I do. But the campaign mode just didn't really fit in. But that's just my opinion. Ghost said it was great.
The cut scenes make it like a movie, very challenging on any difficulty, wide range of weapons you can pick up/start off with, vehicles you get to drive (tank, and you fire missiles from a jet, only thing is I was a little disappointed you didn't get to fly a jet in the campaign), and of decent length. Something that CoD doesn't get; however, CoD makes a bit more sense to me. But that doesn't matter much, I usually enjoy the CoD campaigns. I'm kind of new to Battlefield. I've only played one Battlefield game aside from BF3 and it was one on the Xbox/PS2 a few years ago.
Anyway, what's everyone's favorite primary weapon(s)? Mine are the UMP-45 and PP-2000. Of course there are some others that are good, but those are the best to me. I have the silencer and holographic optics on the UMP-45, and extended mag and holographic optics on the PP-2000.
I recently unlocked the F2000 (I think that's what it was called), and it looks a bit over powered (only takes about five shots to kill an enemy while most other guns take 10+, from mid-long range of course, up close it would take fewer). I was kind of excited to get this weapon in multiplayer from using it in the campaign, but the recoil on it is terrible. I hope I at least get a grip attachment for it after playing with it some more.
Another thing I dislike about this game is that you can't exit the multiplayer mode/room you're in unless you quit the game by going to the dashboard or waiting to quit the game when it starts, but by doing the latter it adds to the percentage of matches you quit, so that's disappointing. And if there is an option to quit from the room, then I'm blind and can't see it.
Has anyone tried Battlefield P4F (play for free) ? It is my first Battlefield game ever and I think it's fine overall. I quite like the recon and medic classes. I heard it is quite similar to BF2, although I can't confirm it. I hate the fact that you can't have more than two characters per account, unless you pay real money for it. It is incredibly dumb since all you have to do is create a second account, and anybody can figure that out. All it really is is a bother to switch between the accounts. I expect a negative reaction, let's see whether I was right

I tried it very briefly on my PC, but since my PC sort of sucks I didn't find it too enjoyable. My opinion wouldn't be valid then anyway.
Battlefield 3 however is absolutely flipping amaazing I know off a few videos that I found to be quite awesome and I also can't resist the urge to show off my stats
Currently rank 24. What's the limit or is it endless?
As for the modes, I'm not a fan of conquest at all. It takes way too long. I was in a match for about half an hour and I don't think we were close to being done. I don't like having to run miles just to die then restart. Rush is okay, but I'm more a fan of team and squad deathmatch, not too long and not too short, just perfect for me.
My best match so far on team deathmatch is 34-2, kind of proud of this considering I was playing against other high ranked players and they seemed good.

It's fairly close to endless really. Once you reach rank 45 then you are max rank...but not really. Rank 45 has 100 service stars awarded at after every 23,000 exp (I'm on the third one and so far it seems like each one is takes 23,000 but I wouldn't be surprised if later ones take even more exp) The real max rank is rank 45 service star 100, basically rank 145 Yea....it's insane I have almost 80 hours played an I'm rank 45 service star 3...I think
Nice updates, too. Now I don't have to worry for the first two minutes of TDM/SDM whether or not a few enemies spawned next to me. Now my teammates spawn near me. The balance changes for the weapons are nice too. It's great to see that they actually care for their game to do these things.

Pfff get rid of Battlefield. Conquest is the original game mode and a few games long the only one.
