Well I say rap is made up of "Retards Attempting Poetry" lol. I am part of the 30% that loves pure rock.

Ok, I listen to rap, it is a good genre of music, but I only listen to the decent artists that aren't talking about girls and such and I like the songs that have good beats, but I ALSO LISTEN TO rock, heavy metal, metal, screamo, death metal, punk, pop, R&B, soul and the list goes on, what you are saying is defining one small group of people because very very few people only listen to rap in particular, so in that area you sadly are wrong my friend, I can agree with you in some way but I only think about 10% of people ONLY listen to rap, please make sure you get your percentages right before you make a big deal out of what music people like.

no I don't argue 92% of people/teenage listens to it but thet 8% is listening to death/black metal (death/black metal is so much better but lees popular) thet 22% more is not small difference

70%? More like 80. But yes, i do like Rap, hip-hop. But i like alternative and rock too, and a lot of others. So l'm kinda mixed o.o

I love rap so i would have to say yes definetly in these parts everybody listens to rap seriously evrybody it is sort scarie.

I think atleast 70% percent of people listen to rap but not as may hip-hop.

Its almost a part of globalisation. All the kinds at my school that listen to rap are trying to be american (or their stupid interpretation of it) Their are a few emos and punks at my school but most are just dumb chavs that follow what ever some faceless, soulless, talentless celebrity is doing this week. I would say about 70% of people "listen" to it but about 10% actually properly listen to it and feel it and understand.

Not 70% of people that I know... Maybe like 40%, 50 tops.

I don't think so,now if you said rap and rock combined,but not rap,mainly because of the amount of kids like me who can't stand the main stream rap being produced nowadays,or just have different tastes.It is true quite a few people at my school listen to rap,but another large majority are punks,goths,and emos(we have an alarming amount of people who dress in all black at my school)So I don't think any of them listen to rap,to tell you the truth.Really maybe 50-60% at best in my opinion.

I doubt that 70% of all people listen to those crappy music genres... I don't listen to them a lot but maybe it's just me
